In our 5th year doing this it is amazing how many members are participating throughout. I hope it has helped you as it helped me keeping my backlogs in check while enjoying my games.

As many have seen, I have completed a lot of games last year and still managed to do my hobbies, take care of family, career and the occasional travel (not counting 2020).

Not every month someone will be finishing a lot, as there are months where a person just can't finish anything. Then you got that streak going in another month.

Also, if you plan to replay the game, it is fine but don't repeat it at a later month as first completion is what counts.

Another thing is the criteria of what is considered completed in unclear games such as team based multiplayer games; I would say set a target for that. E.g. I considered Overwatch completed when I reached level 100. Or when I finished story mode (which was a long movie sequence) in Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. You decide what you consider is completed as long as it is reasonable to a certain extend and correlate-able to a single player experience.

DLC completed at a separate time from the main game and has enough content (+1 hour) can be counted as a separate completion.

Console completions can be accepted as long as the main focus is still PC overall.

0. Just didn’t play much and am losing interest in games in general. Also feel I am starting games but never finishing them. Also state of releases has been pathetic.

One in May for me, but it was a pretty big one: Horizon Zero Dawn.

4 for me.

Homefront - Mediocre game with a brutal story about modern war that seems eerily relevant today. The opening scene where people are executed on the street in front of their kid is the main reason I remembered this game from when I first played it ten years ago.

Greedfall - Another mediocre game. Lots of copy/paste in the city areas. Complete lack of flair across the board. Reasonably good voice acting but there's no reason to listen. Most conversations are Hello. I want this information. I don't have this information, but I know someone who does. Who has this information? I cannot tell you yet. You must first do this thing. What thing do you need done? Blah blah blah. No soul. No personality. Decent story. 44 hours.

Bright Memory: Infinite - Short, flashy FPS with wall running and magical sword abilities. Worth the $4 I paid for its predecessor (and Infinite was a free upgrade at release). Environment never changed from rainy Chinese village... Very disappointing.

Perfect Vermin - terrible game where you smash things with a sledgehammer. See a chair out of place? That's a rat. Smash it and it explodes like a watermelon. It's free. 50% achievements. 40 minutes.

A nice healthy 0, although I am chugging along Apex season(not done yet), and Apex Mobile season(not done yet) and just dropped today Diablo Immortal

A bunch of short things that I wouldn't count; Overboard, Sacraficial Lighthouse, No Longer Home and Magnificent Trufflepigs.

Longer though not necessarily better;
Luna The Shadow Dust - Pretty but dull,
The Treehouse Man - Not my kind of game but actually rather liked it,
Drawn, Trail of Shadow - Casual adventure game,
Song of Farca - Cyberpunk investigation game,
Far Cry New Dawn - A pretty poor Far Cry,
Aspire Ina's Tale - Lacklustre platform puzzler,
Far Changing Tides and Nanotale - Two sequels that weren't as good as the originals.

Eight in total.

Hmmm is it possible to have a negative value?

OK, I'll just stick with ZERO for now.

Fingers crossed for June to have at least one; can't be worse odds than the lottery.

3 games for me:

- Metro 2033 Redux
- Metro Last Light Redux
- Operencia: The Stolen Sun

For June I will be surprised if I complete a game, because of a camping vacation for a week, some other activities, and because I am currently playing a long game that is King Arthur: Knights Tale.

List Updated!

I didn't finish anything because I got sucked into Lost Ark but also progressing Elden Ring (127 Hours so far and still about 60% done).

I do get that feeling but honestly, I come back. To make things work, mix things up to have a more fulfilling life; go out, take kids for activities, do sports...etc. All stuff that I am also in need to improve in.

No games finished in May.

I've just been fumbling around in various sandbox and strategy games. Spent a lot of time in Frostpunk and Anno 1404 History Edition. Now messing around in Cities: Skylines. Not making any progress on the backlog like this. :bleh:

1 - Warhammer Endtimes: Vermintide - liked the game at first but it got really tedious by the time we finished the expansions.
