In our 4th year doing this it is amazing how many members are participating throughout. I hope it has helped you as it helped me keeping my backlogs in check while enjoying my games.

As many have seen, I have completed a lot of games last year and still managed to do my hobbies, take care of family, career and the occasional travel (not counting 2020).

Not every month someone will be finishing a lot, as there are months where a person just can't finish anything. Then you got that streak going in another month.

Also, if you plan to replay the game, it is fine but don't repeat it at a later month as first completion is what counts.

Another thing is the criteria of what is considered completed in unclear games such as team based multiplayer games; I would say set a target for that. E.g. I considered Overwatch completed when I reached level 100. Or when I finished story mode (which was a long movie sequence) in Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. You decide what you consider is completed as long as it is reasonable to a certain extend and correlate-able to a single player experience.

DLC completed at a separate time from the main game and has enough content (+1 hour) can be counted as a separate completion.

Console completions can be accepted as long as the main focus is still PC overall.

Completed Games:
671-Darq: Complete Edition
672-Century: Age of Ashes
673-Halo Infinite
674-Steel Assault
675-Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition
676-Onee Chanbara Origin
677-Bright Memory: Infinite
678-Bright Memory
679-Marvel's Avengers

Happy New Year!

Here is my what I finished for December:

671-Darq: Complete Edition: A puzzle game sidescroller. It was actually fun and short. Go for it if you want something interesting but doesn't eat your time.

672-Century: Age of Ashes: Great presentation but was not that great as gameplay. Seems to be more towards very niche kind of gamer to continue playing this.

673-Halo Infinite: Multiplayer is a blast but despite that the campaign is good, it wasn't greatest. The open world felt filler more than anything else.

674-Steel Assault: Retro style short sidescroller. Hard.

675-Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition: Finally! Playing it now and never before, I can see why this was so popular back at the day.

676-Onee Chanbara Origin: Bikini hack and slash. Nothing special.

677-Bright Memory: Infinite: This was actually good but felt more sandbox than actually a game. They throw weapons, ammo and skills at you and you really aren't forced to diversify. Great graphics though but stiff animations and models.

678-Bright Memory: This was shorter but felt more like a complete game than Infinite as it had tighter gameplay.

679-Marvel's Avengers: I alternated playing this with my 6 year old. Didn't bother doing the extra content. Just zoomed through the story and it is basically a poor man's Guardians of the Galaxy.

2 games:

The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes
Quake (Enhanced)

Also finished Max Payne 2 around 3:00 AM on January 1 (today). Guess I'll include it for next month.

Finished 2.

Halo Infinite
Guardians of the Galaxy

If we are counting COD prestige as well then I prestiged till 4. And am on level 70 on Season Pass. Think I will wait to count that for January. Seems like a solid year with 36 completions which sounds about right for me.

Also I didn’t know bright memory is out. Been waiting for that game for a while. Wtf.

1 for me:

The Gunk

For 2022, there are some back catalog games and upcoming games that are rather large in play hours to finish, so I don't think I will be completing as many games in 2022 as I did in 2021. I played a lot of smaller games in 2021, and I don't think that will happen for 2022.

Happy New Year all.
And thanks again MNB4800 for another year of this.
So, quite a month. A few that were too short to count; Sayonara Wild Hearts, Beasts of Maravilla Island, Adios, The Secret of Retropolis and Duck Sim 2.

Of the ones I am counting; Golf Club Wasteland, Buddy Simulator 1984, Exo One, Artful Escape (two games that looked great but offered little), Forgotten City, Iron Danger, Wanderlust Travel Stories Inc. Trans Siberia, Welcome to Elk, The Pedestrian and Battlestar Galactica Deadlock Complete. I'd beaten the core game before but restarted with all the DLC for another 90 hours or so. So ten for me.

List Updated!

Excuse me but I just noticed that Taturana hasn't posted any completion at all, hope he is doing fine overall regardless. Apologies if I missed something.

9 in December :)*

Forza Horizon 5, Exo One, White Shadows, Death's Door, The Gunk, Resident Evil Village, Road 96, Halo Infinite, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy

Not a massive number, but at least something this month: 06 in total

1) Adventures on the Polluted Islands - Mixed review @ 80% off it's still overpriced

2) Aircraft War X - Removed from Steam for being too crappy to be even on steam

3) Rush for Berlin: Gold Edition - THQ Nordic, very positive ratings & actually pretty good.

4) Sapper's bad dream - good concept / shite implementation

5) Socxel | Pixel Soccer - See #2

6) Written in the Sky - Short VN - Dev removed from steam.

Well not a high note to close off 2021 but this year can go EA itself. Hoping 2022 is a lot better.

A final entry for 2021 from me, with two games finished!

1. Halo Infinite: a brilliant gameplay loop, a snazzy open world and a grapple hook go a long way to covering for the faltering story, level design and creativity. 343 is turning out a bit like the Spartan IV soldiers it's tried to introduce: mere humans, never quite able to match their legendary predecessors.

2. The Last of Us: Part II. I finished it last year, but really wanted to do another run, and the NG+ mode was perfect for that. Man, what a brutal game, in oh so many ways.

Looking back at what I set out to do in January, I said that 2017/2018/2019 were all about finishing more different games; 2020 was a more focused year, and in 2021 I wanted to actually tick some games from the backlog. Twelve months out, I did exactly that by scratching off "older" titles like Assetto Corsa Competizione, Breath of the Wild, Northgard, Control, Halo 5, Fallen Order, DOOM Eternal and Wreckfast.

I think that for 2022, things won't change much. There are still a ton of awesome games from the past five years that I'd love to sink my teeth into. There are so many ways to get games for free or for very little money, there's absolutely no shortage in that area. I think I could go all of 2022 without buying a new game if I wanted to (I don't). So, thank you so much for another year, MNB4800, and here's to 2022.

I learned it from you dad >:3

Also no fair you already have COD Vanguard MP counted for November 2021 >:E

Nice.

1 for me. I am always surprised when the end of the month comes by and I haven't finished but one or two games, if any.

Exo One - Looked like it would be more interesting than it was. I have it installed waiting for a patch for level selection so I can get achievements, but finished it vanilla just fine.
