Games Finished August 2022

Not much to look forward to rest of year except what? CoD for $70 and Callisto Protocol if that doesn't get delayed.

plague tale 2 electrical rataloo
cod modern 2 advanced modern futuristic warfare 2 the second warzone 2 part II
callisto dead protocol space
gotham drynites (for the lols)
new tales from the borderlands, to see how bad gearbox are at making games
skull and bones, not vaporware edition
god of war BOY 2
dark pictures sequel, devil deep inside me
company of heroes 3, more heroes than ever before

Might be some okay ones in there, if we're lucky.

All the more reason to dive into the backlog, as this thread suggests!

As far as upcoming games are concerned, notable games I've wishlisted are Outcast 2 (TBD), A Plague Tale: Requiem (next month), Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves (TBD, taking longer than expected!), Company of Heroes 3 (November), and of course Return to Monkey Island (next week!). However, except for Outcast 2, how many of those do I intend to buy on release, at their full price? The answer is *laughs in r/patientgamers*

I'm currently playing Immortals: Fenyx Rising, and I've installed Far Cry 5, Bioshock 2, and The Walking Dead for a big ol' tour of "games I skipped years ago but can still enjoy".

1 - Dying Light - Much better and more refined version of the Dead Island games. Combat is the clunkiest part of this series, so giving you more focus on avoiding it improves the game. Overall the parkour was not as good as Mirror's Edge Catalyst, unfortunately. Although I mostly enjoyed it to the end, I felt like the game may have been a bit longer than ideal, however my friends and I did basically all the side quests so maybe we brought it on ourselves.

Finished one game in August, which was XCom 2.

Taking a break from XCom and started playing Kingdom Come and Subnautica. Just finished Subnautica and going back to Kingdom Come.
