Yeh looks great but I just want a flat version. A bump in refresh rate would be nice too. I'm thinking of settling for the 165hz 1440p monitor instead. It has everything I want except 21:9.. Bleh can't win. There is no perfect monitor for me and never has been. I'll be stuck using dual displays forever.

ya since your more of mp gamer, the higher hz would benefit you a lot more.

I do like 21:9 though. I could live with 100hz too but just can't stand curved. I don't know why, it looks all distorted to me and as if the sides flare out.

I really just want this 21:9 Dell I'm using with 144hz or better.

How far are you sitting from the screen?

Pretty close, the front of my mouse is almost under the monitors bezel. I've always sat closer to displays than most people, don't know why. FPS gaming I suppose. Probably explains why I'm more anal about AA filtering than most people too.

At 29" diagonal this display is around 3" wider than a 27" 16:9 monitor, which have a decent presence themselves. It's why I'm hesitant about jumping on that 165hz panel. I really like this width. I don't understand why they haven't made any 29" 144hz displays yet. Flat, VA, 165hz, 21:9, 29" would rock for FPS gaming.

I do see your point about the curve demo, not sure if im sold on it yet. Seems ok ingame but kinda bothers me with general surfing and stuff

If you adjust the panel so it's perfectly perpendicular to your vision it isn't too bad, but to me the sides still flare out a little like so (pic seems a bit exaggerated):

I like to tilt my displays back slightly and curved displays end up looking bowed kinda like this:

For some reason I don't like computer monitors being perfectly perpendicular to my vision like a TV.

I don't mind curved TV's though, but doubt I'd buy one. Bit of a premium for them anyway.

Yeh, and being close is probably why I like displays tilted back a little. Gotta pixel hunt dem enemies in pew pew.

I suppose the bow of curved monitors is less apparent the further away you sit.
