Free sync Owners Thread

Nice man. I love 21:9.

What do you think of freesync? The reason I asked what you got is because of refresh rate. At 144-165hz I don't think vsync is even needed, but at 75hz like your display (and my own 21:9 monitor) I think it could be very useful.

Side note, what do you think of curved? I'm not sure I like it tbh and is the only reason I've stuck to my current monitors. I'm open to change, but I'd really like a flat 34" 21:9 100hz+ display tbh.

Not sure yet lol, just ordered it. Will be a few days before I get to play with it.

Ive played a bit with free and g sync before and love it. It adds a lot of longevity to your video card purchase imo. 75hz should be good considering im planning to stay single gpu from now on and think even driving a steady 60fps will be tough on a single card.

tft central was able to oc the display to 85hz also. The gsync version has 100hz oc option but your ymmv and its like $300 more

Perfect refresh rate for a single card at that res man, enjoy. Single GPU is the way to go imo, and its better to buy a display to suit, like yours, than a display that requires MGPU.

Nice, congratulations and definitely post a review :D

Take LOTS of pictures ;)

I am hoping to get my hands on the new Dell 144hz display but the ultra wide curved displays look sweet.

21:9 is a easy sell to me, been using 48:10 for years now and I wont miss the bezels.

@demo I wont miss mgpu that's for sure but sadly for near future im going to need it. A single 290 I don't think will cut it in most games.

what is "this"

ya sorry the mac, what amd guy said. The 34" 21:9 acer predator.

Man ips just kicks the crap out of tn panels and I haven't done any calibrations yet. No stuck pixels from what I can tell yet, not noticing the ips backlight bleed but tbh don't really know what to look for. No strange hum that was reported in some reviews. Curve is pretty subtle, jury is still out on that feature. I love free sync too. On that for anyone that's buying a new display, get a free or g sync model.

My old 28" 4K was a mistake, I should have just waited and used the old Dell 30" until I got my Acer Predator.

The Acer Predator has been an awesome purchase. Flawless for me in every way. 100Hz, Curved 3440x1440p. Just awesome. I would love to get two more and just curve them around.

Will be sending the 4K screen to MegaMan probably here this weekend.

Looks awesome man, but I don't know if the Sauna is the best place to keep the computer (unless you have water cooling).

Yeh looks great but I just want a flat version. A bump in refresh rate would be nice too. I'm thinking of settling for the 165hz 1440p monitor instead. It has everything I want except 21:9.. Bleh can't win. There is no perfect monitor for me and never has been. I'll be stuck using dual displays forever.
