Elder Scrolls 6 Rumored?

wasnt skyrim totally unfinished? Like the civil war quest line was not half of what was planned. This could be the game we were meant to have!

Phooey on all of you; I just got dressed and now have to go change my pants.

Just wanted to chime in about that little fluttery feeling I get whenever I am on the main forum page and see the words "Elder Scrolls 6" in the last post column...

I just quoted my earlier posts to save time....

Looks like Bethesda confirmed it's going to drop more info on this at E3 this year which is probably expected and thus this isn't really news :bleh:

Surely they will have dropped gamebryo by now.

The entire concept of gambryo sucks, no matter how modern they try to pretty it up. Loading cells based on LOD is always going to suck, it will never be seamless. It's always fun to see a snowcone in the distance suddenly pop into a windmill as you approach it. And that type of methology is just inherently CPU/memory unfriendly because its a hog on resources for no good benefit. It might have made sense for Elder Scrolls 3, but not 2019/2020.

Compare to the open world of Witcher 3, heck even Far Cry 5. Far more seamless and better performing with no sudden hitches/loading/snow cones popping up and then into full models.

Tell that to fallout 4... hell even when skyrim came out there were better engines for open world construction. Yet.. gameboyro...

Another Skyrim remaster on the next gen consoles is a done deal. They'll milk this game as much as they can.

I assume TES 6 will hit mid-life of next gen console (or the first 1/3), so they can have a remaster for beefed up Pro/ X2 models later.

I think they said that to get everyone off them, and so that they can surprise everyone next year with something.
I think their next game is Starfield. So no, they're probably not lying about Elder Scrolls 6. Sometime next year we'll hear more about Starfield. It'll release either Holiday season of 2021 or mid 2022. And then we'll hear something about ES6 maybe in 2022 or 2023.
