Do you pay for things with your phone?

You know like Apple Pay, Android Pay, Samsung Pay, etc.

Do you have faith using these payment types?

Paper checks are pretty much history. Credit cards are next to go it seems.

My work now allows and prefers phone payment. They have also gotten rid of all vending machines and use open shelves with product, an ATM type interface machine and several cameras.

Discuss.

I use Apple Pay at the liquor store, that's about the only place I go that supports it. Works quick, easily, and I'm one of the only customers who does there

No. I wouldn't even if I had an Android or an Apple phone.

At least not yet I have virtually no benefit to doing so.

For me the benefit is not having to pull out my wallet. 99% of the time I have my phone out at the checkout, it's a no brainer.

I use Apple Pay everywhere that accepts it. Which is almost everywhere that I go.

nope, prolly never. Dont trust it enough yet. Im a dinosaur tho, still prefer and do alot the old fashioned cash way.

So few places support it, that I rarely use it. I want to use it more though, wish every place had it.

Sometimes. If I forget my watch. I use my watch for all payments where NFC is supported.

Yes, I have faith using these payment types (significantly faster and more convenient than regular, PLUS you have an added security layer with tokens).

Many of the places I frequent in Austin use it. Several others support it but the payment vendor setup that have haven't turned on functionality. I ask every place I go :)

Heck, my orthopedist accepts it

Ive used apple pay once to check it out. I dont use it at all now even though pretty much every place around here accepts it. Its actually faster than most credit cards that you have to insert to use a chip. Before chip insertion it was slower.

Any time I can, yep.
More secure, and more convenient than getting my wallet out, finding the card I want, figuring out if it's a swipe or insert card machine, etc.

Just pull out phone, unlock as I do with thumbprint, swipe up for the cards, and tap and I'm done.

I use android pay everywhere it's accepted. So much easier than getting my card out and using chip readers that are often so slow.

Yes. Although NFC readers are really common in Canada because our debit & credit cards have had the tech for ages. But I use my Banks App. Not Apple pay, Android Pay or Samsung Pay etc.

It's great because while I don't always have my wallet on me, I always have my phone.

I would if I could, but TD refuses to allow it to work with Visa Debit cards. I know a lot of other Canadian banks still only allow actual credit cards as well.

Yea, I've noticed that. I have to wonder if that's a hold up between TD, Interac and Visa. Scotiabank and RBC got it working in their Apps.

I use a ton of apps to pay for stuff.
Specifically I pay the following:
- My house electricity and water bill
- My mobile rent
- My tv/internet bill
- My salik/toll gate bill
- Any fines etc.

I also purchase games and computer hardware on Steam, Origin, Battle.net, Amazon, g2a, cdkeys, etc etc. all through my phone either using apps or specific websites.
