Although my testing is quite limited right now the Catalyst drivers seem to be pretty good. The image quality I would say is better probably do to the corrections to gamma.
All settings were maxed in the driver panel except for smoothvision which was disabled or set to application preference. I also disabled the fog tables for GTA.
There is a few issues with UT. Dynamic lighting still doesn't work properly in UT openGl. I also noticed S3TC is not working. Can someone verify this? Speed wise UT was great. I was avg 86 at 1024x768 and 85 at 1280x1024.
GTA seemed to run a bit smoother. Still has serious issues which I don't believe are ATI's fault. The missing texture problem seemed to get better as I played. I will say it has never looked better. It didn't slow down as much in certain areas like before.
3dmark2001 (the pos it is). It wouldn't run SE, said it couldn't initialize my video adapter. The plain old 3dmark2001 ran fine and my scores increased by almost a thousand, 74xx to 83xx. This is a bit low but the MSI board isn't at the top of the speed chain if you know what I mean.
Hope to try more games this weekend. Hopefully my tax returns get here soon so I can get my new hard drive and fresh install.
It is definetly a good leap in the right direction for ATI.

If someone can verify UT that would be much appreciated.
