That is the old ccc layout, but several tabs on the left are missing. Video, gaming and performance are the ones I am looking for.

Used to use this one quite a bit:

Now the only options on the left are presets, desktop management, audio and My digital flat pannels.

I am not finding any way to modify the values with these new drivers.

Don't forget to click the green thumbtack before you exit, so you no longer have to get to that menu from catalyst. You can just right click the desktop to get to it, once you click the thumbtack.

Drivers are working great. In fact, the only time I've had a problem this entire year was the one time I did NOT use DDU before installing the new drivers. That is with 3 different system with 3 different cards (Fury X, 380x, 380), all Windows 10.

I used to trust the upgrade path with AMD drivers, but not since Crimson came out. So far zero issues as long as DDU is used.

DDU? I never used DDU at all. I know how to uninstall the driver properly and upgrade driver. Never had any problems for years. The one time I tried DDU and it messed up with my OS and I will never use that again.

For years I did the normal upgrade process as well as the occasional uninstall (AMD's uninstaller) and install new driver methods without issue, probably through 6 or 7 different video cards and 3-4 systems.

I just started using DDU this year because of a strange issue that occurred with my FuryX when I tried upgrading to the 2nd Crimson driver. The normal AMD driver uninstall wasn't doing the trick... Gave DDU a shot, installed new drivers, zero problems. Been doing it since without issue.

Not sure how DDU can mess up an OS, but if that happens I'll just restore and go back to the normal uninstall/upgrade method again if I have to. I really don't care and don't get bothered by trying different methods from time to time. These are all home built custom PCs after all...

Works fine with over the top install it's very rare that i have issues and have to do a clean install. I don't understand why people have so many problems with win 10. I rarely have encountered an issue, if I do I eventually find out what it is and fix it. I work at staples at the tech repair counter and an old guy brought his computer in before i got there. Needless to say the other associate couldn't fix it but I got it done in between my other duties called the guy and he was super super shocked and extremely happy that his computer was fixed so fast. He tried to give me a tip right in front of my general manager. I was like i'm sorry sir but I can't take that. He was sad that I couldn't. The older crowd actually think I work voodoo magic out of my ass hole there it's crazy.

Customer said I also left the most detailed notes in his check out sheet he had ever seen. LOL!!!!

What was happening, and probably very rarely now, is that people with AMD-based systems were using it and not paying attention...in most cases!...to only select the GPU drivers. If they opted for the full service, it would delete essential system/motherboard drivers, thereby rendering their system totally craptitized.

I have a amd system and ddu only goes after video card drivers.
People also make sure you get the latest version that supports vulcan removal.
I suggest users use the amd add/remove first then make sure you F8 into safemode to run ddu.
The only driver amd squeezed out of their tight ass is the sata drivers.
They only supplied the windows built-in drivers for everything else and that was 2009.

ddu never touched my sata and I install them manually without amd installers.

Same here. I usually install over on the top if I'm lazy to clean the driver before install the new driver. haha.

If you use Windows 10, you can no longer F8 into Safemode. It's more convoluted with W-10.

Yes, there is gamma, sharpness and color vibrance in a "custom" video setting, but there were much more options before.

Yes a slew of video enhancements have been absent since Crimson has been launched. You get the same feedback from folks leading you to the same location which no longer carries those enhancements. I guess most never used or knew they existed. For Netflix, the old drivers it blew away my smartTV in improving the video, plus if I watched any YouTube videos.

No word if AMD will even have those options in the future.

Well, specifically for DDU, you just launch DDU and select the safemode option and it automatically reboots your system in to Safemode.

I actually don't remember the last time I tried to F8 into safemode for anything lol. Probably back in Vista.

True, but to get to safemode in win10..
Hold SHIFT when selecting any reset button offered by the OS is the easiest way. You can also use msconfig.
If you can't get to desktop then I suspect you'll need that emergency repair disk you created.
