crossfire 2 x R290's and second gpu is stuck in 2D power mode when idle same as beta 1 drivers.

14.9 beta 2 was last driver that let second gpu go into proper low power state!!!

why does AMD break something so simple with a driver update ffs :nag:

seen lots of people on other forums without that problem on these drivers.

did you uninstall with DDU?

did you disable ULPS?

do not download amd cleanup utility

it will remove all your system drivers if you are on an amd CPU.

but it works everytime for me cleans old drivers that was left behind i dont mind redownloading cpu drivers doesnt take that long to install

it known to brick peoples systems.

DDU is a million times better and doesnt remove system/usb/chipset/sata drivers.

:yep:

had to re-install windows because that crap borked my raid array. avoid like the mf'ing plague.

DDU on the other hand seems to work like a charm for now.

An old version of AMD cleanUp made my windows 7 x64 BSOD at loading screen and i had to run system repair. On the other hand the latest version was fine.I don't have an AMD cpu.

Okay tried DDU and same problem gpu number 2 still stuck in 2D power state at idle clocks of 300MHz core and 150MHz ram, won't go into low power state.

I want my second card to go into ULPS mode because as it is with it stuck in 2D clock mode at idle it's causing my primary card to run hotter when the system is idle and it's all so sucking power when it shouldn't

disable ULPS tool errors saying there is a missing registry key so on or off is making no difference
