New phones on tap, possibly ipads, airpods, and macbook air refresh.

Time to follow the sheep to feed the most valuable company in the world.
 
Look forward to hearing about how Razeus won't buy this one because Apple is too predictable and boring, only to find out he actually pre-ordered it the moment pre-orders open up.
 
I guess I’ve out of the rumor loop but 7nm for the A12 caught me by surprise. If these phones actually start shipping out soon that should bode well for AMD’s reported plan for launching 7nm this year too.
 
The XS with the 6.5" screen is nice and all, but about as exciting as a new tie. I felt the same way about the Note 9, so I think the homogeneity of the smart phone industry is getting to me.
 
No new airpods... boo. Probably going to be 1199 for a 256gb iPhone X S Max(thats a mouthful)

So nothing unexpected and most leaks were on point.

yeah, I agree. the current phones can do pretty much everything I need to do.

First off theyre ugly lol. Second getting past that you can't even skip songs with invoking Siri. That's a big downside for me as I skip constantly while riding my bike. Or if you set it to do that you can't change the volume. It's just weird they didn't think of this stuff beforehand.
 
18 hours of battery life from the Apple Watch is pretty awful. Even the cheapest Android Wear devices claim 24hrs. My FitBit Ionic gets 4-5 days.

I dont have any smart watch cause I cant see a need for one in my life but Id say if it can get through the whole day without a charge thats good enough. Im sure if you idle the watch and not play with it and use it normally it would last longer. I dont think my wife has had her series 3 ever die on her.

I like not having to charge my Ionic very often. Granted, I sleep with it on, it tracks my sleep, and I get a lot of utility out of it.
 
The thing that annoys me is the videos still extend to the notch. Why don't they black that part out when playing videos?

Thats just how apple chooses to show it on videos. You can scale video back so that it stops at the notch and you get the full view minus the notch. The only problem with that is that it scales back on both sides so you lose considerable amount of viewing space in doing so. What apple should do is scale it back and push the video over to the right to maximize the screen minus the notch. It wouldnt be perfect scaling but it would be better than zoomed in and -vert on video to utilize the full screen viewing.
 
Ill probably pre-order a max tonight. I put a couple of scratches on my current iPhone X so its got to go :bleh:
 
Why do people keep spending this crazy amount of money on these things? This is getting absurd. No phone is worth that much money.
