Another reason to like LastPass

Thanks Lupine. I've never used anything like this before, so I'll be reading everything about it before installing it.

EDIT: Love it - grid authentication enabled as well - was wrong about using similar software, very similar to what I use at work.

Why didn't I install this long ago?? I'll be going premium before long. Well worth it imo.

Hmm...I'll give it a try. I'll try LastPass free version since I cant pay for it.
The free version seems extremely full featured to me. Of course, I haven't tried premium yet so cannot compare the 2, but I'm not sure I even need premium as free covers everything I need at the moment.

Oh, it looks like that premium version has mobile devices support. I have a windows phone, but I most spent on the computer, so it makes a sense that I'll just use free version.

Ah - checked the playstore after I read your post and there it is! Going premium myself then so I can use it on my note2 and tablets as well. :)

EDIT: hmm -will have to research this - grid not supported on my mobile device. I'll figure it out, liking this a lot and want it across all devices....

I don't know about grid, but I know that the dolphin browser has lastpass integration and supports the google authenticator.

Yeah I saw that and may give dolphin another shot with it. Issue I have with it is dolphin has a tendency to give me dark gray shaded web pages that render very muted, hard to read most of the time. I've never been able to get that to stop, so I gave up on it. Only browser on my mobile to do that. Which is lousy because I like dolphins features and speed more than any other.

wrt the grid if I read this right access on mobile requires premium for anyone else considering it

Are you sure you don't have night mode on?

Evaluating Lastpass now, since 1Password for Android is nothing remotely close to the iOS version. I like it so far and the import from 1Password was a breeze. They need to seriously work on their UI, however. I like that it's free, but is the premium version worth paying for?

At twelve bucks a year or so, I'd say "most definitely".

The UI may not be the prettiest, slickest thing, either desktop or mobile, but it gets the job done. I like that any additions or changes that I make are reflected and are available almost immediately across all of my devices; the security is pretty damn good, too.

But I thought LastPass was free and the $12 was to remove ads. Does the $12 do something else?

Nice, I see this thread has been around a while and I just noticed it last night and tried it out, works awesome and no longer have a bunch of passwords stored in insecure browsers. And free does everything I need as well. Even saves passwords on sites where it is normally forced off.
Edit: Nice, the generate password is also a cool feature and since you wont ever lose it (As long as Lastpass stays around) you dont have to worry about creating your own passwords to remember for all the different sites. This is more useful then I thought it would be.

Its scary how easily people share their all precious passwords with strangers

Almost as scary easy getting all your unencrypted passwords off your computer!  Or lets see, all the sites that you use your precious password on that continue to get hacked!
And if you bothered to read anything, all data is 256bit encrypted locally on your computer and sent for storage so even if their server was stolen it would be useless to whoever stole it!
