watch dogs cfx is working now only about 50% scaling but better than it was and no stuttering

and these seem fine so far

Still the same issue for me as the last 14.6

Trying to re-setup my Eyefinity. I try to use the Bezel correction; the screen flickers and then CCC gives me some crap about "Warning: your display configuration has changed. Ensure that your displays are connected and functioning properly."

Anyone?

Edit/Update: ...and Watch_Dogs is broke with these too. The game crashes on loading the save. Tried CFX on/off and Uplay offline mode and overlay disabled without success.

Looks like I'll be switching back again

Installed these last night, ran the uninstall, used Guru3D's Driver Cleaner and Driver Fusion plus CCleaner to make sure everything was clean. Re-installed and low and behold things are worse then before.

Diablo 3 not only stutters more but for whatever reason will drop to 15 FPS for about 5 seconds and then back up to 60FPS but feeling like 30FPS to 40FPS, tried disabling Crossfire but no go. Also had some black screen flickering and then got a grey screen when shutting the game down.

World Of Warcraft is still a stuttery mess, no screen flickering or anything like what occured in Diablo 3.

Watch Dogs still a stuttery mess with no crossfire scaling at 4K.

Wolfenstein still shows no Crossfire scaling but again engine issue since IDTech 5 is still stuck in the past....

Put my 295x2 up on Kijiji for $1500 see if I can get rid of it first then sell off the 290x from MSI. The month being with AMD has been disapointing. 4 driver releases now 14.4, 14.6 Beta, RC1 and RC2 and still nothing.

Back on 14.4 for now.

Can anyone even get battlefield to load on these with an r290? I get the loading screen but everything is in slow motion, the blinking cursor takes about 5 seconds to animate in the top right of the screen, gave up after waiting 5 minutes for it to load. That's on a single screen.

edit, scratch that seemed to be the afterburner overlay causing the issue.

Way overkill, imo. Like using a jackhammer to swat a gnat...;) Try just uninstalling with the CM's Express Uninstall, and then reinstalling, and then reinstalling the RC a second time right on top of the previous install--this will more than likely fix it (or it should, anyway) and *if you can* disable xfire. If things aren't running properly with xfire disabled it's a cinch they aren't going to run properly with it enabled.

It sounds like some of your cleaner programs may have uninstalled and "cleaned" a bit more than they should have.

I have to confess though that this driver read.me curiously states that Express Uninstall no longer removes the ATi directory....very strange...how does that get changed from one driver revision to the next?

Got the driver to install properly after really cleaning it with AMD's utility( not the one with the drivers themselves), and all 3 monitors now work in color...:bleh:

Now I have to figure out why CCC doesn't open with these drivers....

I have had no trouble, so far with either of the 14.6 Cats--but, I don't have Crossfire or multi-monitors/Eyefinity, either...

Can't remember a time *before* 2002 that so many folks have had problems on the install/uninstall side of the fence. Including me.

I thought, for instance, that the 14.4WHQLs had been fixed--but they haven't been. Tried an install/uninstall with the 14.4WHQL's the other day and while the driver uninstalled properly, upon reboot I was locked out of USB and all USB ports were dead. Again. I'm going over and update a post I have there, yet again. Obviously, the problem there was *not* the AHCI driver as AMD stated, unfortunately. Obviously, it's a problem specific to the 14.4WHQLs in my case.

Tried running CCC in administrator mode and nothing, installed the driver package once again and still nothing on the CCC side of things, created a shortcut on the desktop to use it without right clicking to see if it starts and still nothing.

All I get is the usual round waiting symbol for about 15~20 sec but CCC never appears.....All the rest works fine in 2D and 3D and the three monitors are working at their native resolution, so I might end up using a 3rd party utility to get to the same functions as CCC or go back to the 14.4's

:hmm:
I just installed over the top and it worked fine

I have not used Driver Cleaner in years every time I did in the past I ended up reloading windows

if I do uninstalling I just use the drivers uninstalling

i see a lot of people reloading windows over the years.

why dont people just use sysprep?

saves you from having to resinstall all your proggies.

Had 2 unexplained system crashes when I was just browsing after I installed these and get sudden split second corruption across all 3 screens then goes back to normal, so these 14.6's can go take a hike and back to the 14.4's we go....Since those using a single display aren't experiencing issues, it could be an eyefinity issue.

Tried the uninstall utility one more time and the 14.6 RC2 driver package for a third time, and it seems to work now.... CCC opens up and that raptor utility for games also works.

As for why it works this time and didn't the other 2 attempts, I have no clue as I used the exact same process.

BF4 did this to me using these drivers with DX11

Mantle performance degrades after minutes, so I can't switch to that either.

These drivers are a P.o.S. for me. Kinda perplexing seeing that the individual driver numbers are the same between 14.6 beta 1 & RC2 but the performance is terrible. Lichdom (cry3 engine) went fm a steady 60fps to around 30, Thiefs mantle performance dropped and even had some stuttering in WoW with 8x fsaa. Saw no gains in any of the games i tested, only losses. Swapped back to beta 1 and performance silky smooth again. I'll be passing on these. Hopefully the actual release performs better.

They are unstable here too, as the three monitors just go dark all of a sudden and I might be doing something as simple as browsing the net and it'll do it...Did it once since I installed the drivers yesterday so far, and never did this behavior with previous driver sets.

These drivers still haven't fixed the issue's with 4K MST screens
Also no word on this in the known issue's, it seems it doesn't exsists allthough I have fill in forms, send mails, but who am I...everything is fine, really :(

I doubt people will pay any more attention to this kind of advice than they did more than a decade ago...;) It must be that some people have Windows installed along with 1-2 games--so "reinstalling Windows from scratch" isn't a big deal for them...;) Even without sysprep there are many things people could and should do before they *ever* "format c:\ & reinstall." The foremost software advice for OS X problems is "reinstall the OS," but you'd think that Windows people would be in an entirely different class, wouldn't you? I mean--people used to understanding and solving their problems short of merely "reinstalling the OS."

At home I have a dozen major programs installed--at least--and 3-4 *dozen* games, so "reinstalling the OS" would be a major undertaking for me...;) It's never just the OS that has to be "reinstalled" is it?...;)
