RX 6700(xt) coming soon

Pax you pays your money and you takes your choice. Unfortunately AMD have tasted the elixir of charging over a $1,000 for a GPU and they've all sold out. I'm afraid that elixir is intoxicating and very hard to come off. Ask the jacket.

At the last shareholders meeting Lisa Su was asked why would you want to produce MBA cards at MSRP when you could sell them for far more or just increase the price to AIB's. Seen any AMD MBA MSRP cards lately, I haven't and they said they'd be in the channel Q1 2021.

It's just business and if RDNA3 comes in with your all your wildest dreams what do you expect it will cost? Maybe $1,500 for starters. Beware what you wish for lest it becomes true. That's life ATM I'm afraid.

Well a pox on both their gpu houses imo because once this thing is over and the various problems are shed from crypto to supply to covid most if not all of which are forecasted to be over by next year prices have only one way to go.

Mind you if this is 350 us or 400-450 CAD and they can keep it at msrp I might snag one. If perf which is rumored to be basically a 3070 level that would make it ~50% faster than my vega 64. Has 4 gigs ram more and would be for a 1440p mon plus Id like to have the new video decoder on there...

Also story is this thing clocks like mad and more importantly scales a lot better at high clocks.

Ill see but wont pay crazy banana pants for one.

Don't think I'll be able to get one given the lack of availability of other cards.

I hope this card does well.

AMD has to kick Nvidia in the Nuts.

To me this is the natural successor to the 5700XT with the same number of CU's but newer RDNA2. At $479 about what I paid for my old AIB 5700XT. Could be a good card if they can get enough supply.

AMD claims it could beat or compete with the 3070.:)

I might have to start a buyer's remorse thread:( :)

You bought what you could afford and was available at the time. No remorse needed. In Tech there is always something faster, more efficient less expensive coming in the future but you have to buy in the present otherwise you'll never buy anything.

In the last 4 months I've bought a new GPU, CPU, Monitor and head phones and every single one of them have exceeded my expectations. Buyer's remorse you're having a laugh, I'm ecstatic actually as you should be because you've done the same upgrades (maybe not the head phones).

I know. It's a dig at a certain forum member who used to always have remorse threads.

It's a running joke on the forum.

Fanning the flames?

I will head back over to OT graphics where it's safer in case anyone wants to talk about this.

Hopefully AMD can increase production of GPUs by summer. CPUs seem to be readily available now.

Kind of mediocre, but under the current circumstances if someone wants a card and sees it for sale they should just buy without thinking.

Pretty meh product. Not sure what is the target market. If you take MSRP the 3070 for 20 bucks more seems like a much better deal.

Of course nothing will be available at that price so we can just kiss this whole gen goodbye. :nag:

No bad cards just bad prices. 6700xt is a 400$ USD card.

The reference came out at 650 CAD and sold out imediately. But the aibs range up to 1100$ CAD.
