3060ti competitor. Although it will be its nightmare if it has infinity cache.

It is worth noting that references to Navi 22 had previously been highlighted in a Linux driver release, back in July. There was not much information to go on, but rumor has it the Radeon RX 6700 series will debut with 40 compute units, same as the Radeon RX 5700 XT (but with a newer graphics architecture, obviously), and 20 fewer than the Radeon RX 6800.

AMD's upcoming cards could arrive early next year, and skirmish with the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. it will be interesting to see how the parts compare, both in performance and in price.

Very interested in where these end up. The 3060 and this are both high on my radar to see if they can really offer a good 1080/1440p experience that's worth it :)

Consensus seems to be these will launch Q1 2021 so between January and March. If January expect stock to be readily available around March but if launched in March expect June time. I don't think these cards will get scalped too much because 'ordinary' people who buy these cards are very price resistant. They are not going to pay £800 for a card worth £400 and will hang onto their existing hardware until the price normalises. So no profit for scalpers.

Pricing and availability you mean.

Yeah, if the reviews are favourable I'm likely going to buy one of these on launch because I fear the availability will be low and the prices will go bonkers after :(

Good luck!

Thx! The 3060Ti's took at least the day or so to sell out locally. So I'm hoping for the same thing with these when they launch, giving me plenty of time to snap one up if I don't hesitate.

"It looks like it's going to be rather tough to call this one anything but a paper launch if such rumours turn out to be true. Though I'm sure if the likes of Frank Azor can find a way to buy one simply by clicking refresh a few times on the AMD.com store pages, then the rest of us will be able to bag a shiny new Radeon RX 6700 XT GPU if we want it bad enough."

With the 3060 overpriced at 500$ we know this one will be too. Couple that with the Navi3 leaks showcasing huge perf increases and Im more than happy to let the rich kids burn themselves out on this current gen while I wait for the next one.

Pax you pays your money and you takes your choice. Unfortunately AMD have tasted the elixir of charging over a $1,000 for a GPU and they've all sold out. I'm afraid that elixir is intoxicating and very hard to come off. Ask the jacket.

At the last shareholders meeting Lisa Su was asked why would you want to produce MBA cards at MSRP when you could sell them for far more or just increase the price to AIB's. Seen any AMD MBA MSRP cards lately, I haven't and they said they'd be in the channel Q1 2021.

It's just business and if RDNA3 comes in with your all your wildest dreams what do you expect it will cost? Maybe $1,500 for starters. Beware what you wish for lest it becomes true. That's life ATM I'm afraid.

Interesting take, but I think the prices are more reflective of the demand being relatively high and the supply low because of the current unique situation with manufacturing and shipping. The prices will drop as/when things start settling out so supply can be increased.

*late edit* IE going with a higher MSRP because things are selling out now, it not smart business as the current situation is unique and not indicative how things normally play out.

its a mix of tariffs, the substrate supply issues, and the 3rd crypto boom that are driving prices due to demand.
