Please detail any 5.7.1 upgrade issues here

posting, replying takes...ages... (often, not always, but most of the time) sometimes you get an error message but the post actually went through. Very strange behaviour and to be honest, it really gets old fast.
 
Yeah the new vB is definitely slower than the previous one, despite having more resources at it's disposal.
 
Is it just me or does the main forum screen not refresh for quite sometime after posts. Half the time the latest thread is not latest.

I see that too, regardless of browser. I’m also unable to post from time to time. No errors, just never gets past the “working” message.

It's not just that. I've seen the main page not hilite some channels that have unread posts but seeing how it's been too quiet I click in further and find unread threads!
 
Someone please revert back to the old one. It is painful to even attempt a post. Like this one.

Not possible. We can't and will not revert to the older version of vB. However we are looking at options, not ready to discuss what those may be.

Reverting back shouldn’t even be mentioned. Going from the old to the new was smoother than i thought it would be to be honest. There are just some bugs still needing to be worked out by someone who is really familiar with this version. It’ll get there eventually.
 
I can't find the Flight Simulator 2020 thread I started. If I search for "flight simulator" it finds old old stuff going back to 2002.

Also, is there no longer any way to search for threads started by someone?

I have all the options, it just didn't find the thread. Dodger found it and linked it in Discord.
 
Will this forum be any faster or is this it? Just checking as it takes very long for me to post stuff. Not sure if that is by design.
 
I've only had one time where it took like 30 seconds to post. Most times its like 2-3 seconds.
 
The new software is considerably slower than the previous version.We are mot entirely sure why that is just yet. But we are aware of it and it is not just you.
 
Have noticed that the pages displaying the various subforums seem cached and may not reflect the actual last post, etc. mostly the uppermost forum page.
