ew... and you have the lovely ETC Provider "US Cellular" there too. lol. Kansas was stupid and granted US Cellular ETC status. So now they bilk every dollar they can from the USF by building as few towers as they can get away with.

Power-cycle your router maybe? Whenever Spectrum or Comcast upgraded my speeds, I had to cycle the router to see any difference.

Steam is the fastest for me. I can get about 80-90MB/s on a good day. They have a caching server in NZ and we have good infrastructure within the country. Downloading stuff from overseas is about 20-25MB/s on average.

I have a 1 Gbps connection at home but ever since everyone moved to stay-at-home orders in NJ it hasn't really broken the 300 Mbps barrier. Not that I'm complaining, this is plenty for us and others have it far worse.

You guys should live in the Canadian sticks like I do...

I pay $100/month for internet and for that I get...

25-30Mbps max download but only from about 2am-8am...from about 3pm onwards until midnight the speed drastically goes down until it hits MAX 3Mbps and often down to 0.25Mbps. My upload is max 1.5Mbps and usually under 1

my ping times can be from as low as 25ms to as high as 250ms

Not only that but cell signal is awful and max data speed I get is about 1-2Mbps

Oh, and my internet is capped at 300GB a month

Good grief. That's terrible. Do you live on top of a mountain or far away from civilization?

I live in rural Montana and even I get a consistent 30Mbps download using a WISP.

Nope, by a lake not too far from civilization where they get 100+Mbps it's just the area I live in isn't serviced by anyone other than one crap company and it's heavily treed. I was lied to by multiple people that there was decent internet here and didn't find out until after we moved in.

Oh, it's just glorious to see videos drop down to 240p or less in some cases...looks awesome on an 82" 4k tv :(
 
Noticed I was downloading games on Steam at 29mbps so I did a speed test..



I pay for 100/10

Strange thing is it's only Steam and certain servers on speedtest giving me results like these. Fast.com also reported faster than 100/10 at 140/13

Guess I'll see if this new speed sticks and propagates itself out to more servers.
