Call of Duty Black ops 2

Have you handled a real assault rifle?

That's your problem right there. Fun is not synonymous with reality, at least for non-simulator type arcade games. People get into the whole realism thing with shooters which is complete nonsense. I have never flown a SU-35 or driven an Abrams tank either, however I DO know when something is fun (for me) as opposed to not being fun. Negligible recoil is never fun, because where is the skill in that. It is basically a intagib railgun. Even Cod4 had recoil that had to be mastered.

Quake3 had no recoil and it was fun.

Quake3 had no recoil and it was fun.

Exactly. And neither did UT. But it worked. Other game mechanics (mainly high speeds, fairly open and often mirrored "fair" arenas) made up for the no recoil "advantage" so that the game was still challenging.
Most call of duty 4 maps do work decently and are balanced well as a Quake-type of game. But the maps in the Cods that came after just seem awful.

Just watched the live stream from gamescon. Saw 3 maps, Cargo, Aftermath and Turbine. Game looks awesome and i would even go out on a limb and say this could be the best CoD yet (Since cod4 of course). Graphics have been improved more than any other CoD title since CoD4 and thats just the 360 version, the PC version supports DX11 !!!

Maps look well balanced for the gametypes i saw played on them..Domination, squad TDM and another im not sure what its called. The potential for Esports is strong with this one...

Perk system is improved offering more balance, kill streak or rather score streak is improved for balance, guns look awesome although 1 of the shotguns looked massively over powered at range.

I was sitting on the sideline with this but now i have seen more i am excited as hell now....A sure buy for me.

Oh and well played Europeans ;)

Not really.. only Strike, Crash and District offered a fair balance in most gametypes. Crossfire and vacant got played quite a bit by lowbies though...

guns still have ZERO recoil.

You can expect gun recoil effectiveness to come in patches as they always do. But i wouldn't go off that vid for recoil anyway...How do you know he didn't have an attachment to stop recoil ? The live stream i watched earlier seemed to have sufficient recoil on most of the weapons.

Can you still put logos on your weapons like in black ops? I thought that was pretty cool.

guns still have ZERO recoil.

FWIW, COD guns typically have little to no recoil. What they do have is bullet spray. So although you don't physically see the recoil, it's simulated via bullet spread. Obviously this is mitigated by ADS and varies based on which scope (ACOG, iron, etc.) is used.

There is a slight sway with some guns as you hold down fire (e.g. gun rides up on you).

Just watched a match on the map 'Yemen', Hardpoint gametype. This map looks awesome, Kinda reminds me of the Favela map from MW2.

Gotta laugh at how the haters visit a thread titled Call of Duty Black Ops 2 just to hate on the game....
