Now changed so you don't have to have an earthcam account! Yay!
ATTENTION: Does anyone know a good, low-cost cam hosting service? I really can't host it on my computer (bandwidth/security reasons), but I'd like to get a lot better quality than earthcam. Doesn't have to be free, just affordable.

I will be moving the cam to a different viewpoint and/or room every day at about 6pm Alaska time (10pm for you east coast folks). There's a small, red, Buddy Christ figurine in view of the cam. The first person each day to post where they see it (I will be trying to up the quality of the cam) gets to pick where the cam will be the next day. The one exception is the first day we get snow. That day, I will be pointing the cam out the window, so everyone can see the horrible, horrible whiteness!
Also, the cam is set up so that you will be able to view it while I'm moving it. Might make for some interesting viewing! So be sure to tune in around 6 each evening!
Edit: To clarify the time the cam moves: 6pm AST each evening, or 10pm EST (and it helps to start looking right away!)
The apartment itself contains a living room, dining room, entry hallway, bathroom, 2 hall closets, and 2 bedrooms w/ closets. The only 2 places off limits are the bathroom and my roommate's bedroom. Otherwise, I'll put the cam anywhere it won't get damaged. Aka, if a winner wants it in the fridge for a day, it's in the fridge for a day! But, the cam won't ever go in the same place twice!
So, get looking for that figurine!
Oh, and it does get dark at night around these parts...but my roommate has a habit of wandering aimlessly, leaving lots of lights on. Watch for him, he's the tall one.
Rules Appendix A: If you win, you are ineligible to win for a period of 1 day.
Appendix B: The cam is too heavy and the ceiling too textured for me to be able to tape it there. So the ceiling is out.
Appendix C: Due to the 'creepy old naked man' incident, the camera can not be placed in a location that is likely to show my or my roommate's faces for any period of time. Us, yes, but not our faces.

10/28-10/30: On the back of the futon, checking out the snow! Buddy Christ isn't in there today.
10/22-10/27: On the floor next to the stove, facing the living room. Buddy Christ position: On the window sill in the living room. Not found.
10/20-10/21: Back of the stove. Buddy Christ is broken today
10/17-10/19: Upside-down under the dining room table, facing the kitchen. Buddy Christ Position: Side of the fridge. Found by Amaranthine.
10/15-10/16: On top of my second monitor, where it normally is outside of this competition. Buddy Christ position: In front of the black monolith on my bookcase. Found by Idiot8oy.
10/12-10/14: On the phone stand (oh, who are we kidding? It's a cardboard box), facing the dining room. Buddy Christ position: On top of the fire extinguisher. Found by Amaranthine.
10/11: Corner of the futon, facing the television. Buddy Christ Position: Not found! He was in the TV cabinet, under the PS2.
10/10: Remember that box in the front hall? On there again, facing the front door. Buddy Christ position: In front of the moulding on the floor to the left of the door. Found by idiot8oy.
10/09: On the other end of the futon, facing the courtyard. Buddy Christ position: Taped to the window in the same place, but from the other side. First person able to post about it: Amaranthine
10/08: Darkmatter didn't get me a position in time, so on the back of the futon, facing out the living room window. Buddy Christ position: Taped to the window in front of the camera, in the lower right corner. Not found due to forum being down.
10/07: On the dining room table, looking into the living room. Buddy Christ Position: On the floor in front of the subwoofer, on the far side of the TV cabinet. Found by Darkmatter.
10/06: On the box in the hallway that Buddy was on 10/04. Buddy Christ position: On top of the thermostat on the right wall in the hallway. Found by Mugendai.
10/05: Upside-down on the ceiling, in the corner of my room. Buddy Christ position: On 'top' of the tv. Very corner of the cam. Found by Amaranthine. Update: The cam didn't stay on the ceiling. Used half a roll of tape, too. Moved to my headboard, facing the same general direction. Buddy hasn't moved.
10/04: On the door of the freezer, facing the dining room and entry hallway. When the door opens, you get to see a nice arc of the room! Buddy Christ position: Top of the box on the bench along the far wall. Found by Mugendai.
10/03: Under the kitchen sink, with the cabinet door open. Buddy Christ position: On the chair, to the right of the table, a little behind the tablecloth. Found by idiot8oy
