Yay...my first reason for having Sentry mode...

Took my son to his jiu-jitsu class last night and then noticed on the way back to our 6 month Model Y this nice ding/scratch on the left passenger side door.
Was hoping it was dirt, but no, the first bonafide wound.

Me and my son started looking at the Sentry videos and looking to see if it was Blackbelt jiu-jitsu instructors wife who did it (she was parked next to us)...and thank fully no...

Then we looked through and found this footage from my wife work where she drives the car

We got the license, I don't think it's a huge issue..probably not worth getting Tesla involved (hopefully just buff it out)...but won't be too hard to find (we're assuming this is a fellow hospital employee where my wife works).
Pure accident, nothing intentional, but she could have stuck around or left a note.

EDIT:

PS...don't forget to hit that SUBSCRIBE button and Like the video (so I can quit my day job and become the next youtuber sensation).

EDIT:

Just shared strictly for my Rage family and will likely take it down soon enough, but the look on her face is priceless.

I like sentry mode. Look at her face  You going to make a claim? It didnt look like it hit too hard. Got any actual pictures?

Like sub and comment to wham bam tesla cam.

Yeah, her face shows the horror of the result. I"m not ready to vilify her just yet and my wife does share the same work place, so the preference is to get this worked out amicably.

But definitely wanted to share with our small group.

I'll probably take it down shortly.

Edit:
Yeah, just minor and cosmetic from what I gather, but I've always lived with my car scratches....this time I prefer not to. Assuming it won't be that complicated or involve Tesla (maybe confirm paint code)

i still remember buying my nissan and just shy of a week later some ******* keyed it, and by that i mean from the front to the back. I couldn't believe it. So a small ding like that is nothing, but still annoying, understandable.

So is your wife going to track her down or not?

"Hey, I have a video of you damaging my vehicle..."

I wouldn't let that slide, even if it is only minor.

She checked with building parking management and the offenders license is not registered. She's still on the lookout and I'm bugging her to keep trying.
