Hi

ive just taken delivery of the ATI Xpert 2000 with video in/video out (the driver says its a Rage Fury Pro/Xpert 2000 Pro). After getting the new drivers so that the video input would work, I started to have a play around with its capture capabilites. When I ran the Video In from the multimedia center for the first time it ran through the initialization wizard and I got to select the default recording format. In this list I ONLY have ATI VCR 1.0, yet in the help file it says that I should also have Mpeg 1 and Mpeg 2. I know that the encoding is done in software, so what do I need to upgrade to be able to encode in the MPEG formats?

Any help is appreciated

Thanks,

Rich....

I believe the MPEG1 is only available when using the ATI-TV Wonder card. I'm using the Rage Fury Pro along with the TV card. The MPEG option only appears when the tuner card software is added. The help file is generic!
