wow, haven't heard of this one yet.

i need a little more info...

1) what OS are you running? (all my programming was done in win2000)

2) where did you put my version of the .dll? (did you overwrite the Ati version)

3) did you remove the ati version from the remote's control panel?

4) what version of winamp? (this one is a long shot, i used the latest version and everything is ok)

5) what other programs do you have running in the background?

i honestly don't know what's going on yet... i never saw any behavior like that at all. Get back to me and i will see what i can do.

Keep up the good work

ok, i'd like you to try this. you've probably already done this like 10 times but try it anyway.

remove my plugin from the Remote software and the remote directory.

rename the original ati plugin back to the original name and import it into the remote software, then remove it and rename the file back to whatever you had it as before.

copy my plugin into the Remote directory and import it into the remote software.

hit the configure button and make sure that my config window comes up.

start winamp and see if it dies again.

i don't know if this has anything to do with it, but i'd imagine you aren't using an english version of windows.
So i don't know if that is causing anything crazy. you really never know with windows.

one last thing... you didn't happen to use a tweaker program to set windows to "automatically unload .dlls from memory" did you?

let me know if anything there helps you, i'm going to keep thinking about it.

Yes it dies again.

Ok, I dont know if this would be helpfoul, but I will try to describe my computer to you.
(computer width remote controle.)

After that it is imposible to start Remote Wonder program
Only thing I can do to start it is to delete your .dll before try to startting the program.

Keep up the Good Work

:(

hmmm... this is really strange.

the original winamp plugin that ati gave out, worked perfectly for you, right? i pretty much plugged my code into their source, so if that worked, then mine "should" work.

head over to winamp.com and grab version 2.80... it's the latest one and has a few small bugfixes. i just want us to be using the same version while i try to figure out what is going on.

do you use the "winamp agent" for anything at all? i found it caused me more problems than anything else, so i turned it off. try turning it of in the preferences menu.

hopefully it's just a conflict with the winamp agent, and everything will be ok. I'm going to keep thinking and see what i can come up with.

I will try to download WinAmp 2.80
and say whats will happend then.

I work on shomething that solved prety much problems width making plugins.

Some guy has made Girder plugin and it not worked wery good so I improved it, if you wanna try it (NiDan) let me know my emai is [email protected].

I can give you the dll`s & source so you can see how it works.
And predefined keymaps for WinAmp, Media Player 8, and Zoom Player for Girder (im working on it but it`s working fine for now).

Width this Girder you can map olmost every key on the remote.

you can map
ch+/-,
keys 1,...,9,0, a,b,c,d,e,f,
ok key and arrows araund it
<<,>>,play,pause,stop,and record keys

i tried girder about 2 weeks ago, i found it to be an absolute pain to understand. I deal with enough pain in the ass software at work, i don't need to do that at home too.

with the ati SDK you can map any key on the remote to do just about anything (except for the dvd/tv/web buttons)

once we finally get the plugin working for you, you can let me know what you think i should add to the plugin (number keys, record button... etc)

NiDan

NiDan

Your Plug-in not working again even width new Winamp

you don’t need to bother anymore cause this girder works great.

Thanks for your support and keep up the good work

I want to thanks to guy who made a girder plug-in, even if it not worked at the first time, I fixed it and now it working and all you can find at http://www.geocities.com/tai001hr/RW/RW.zip

it isn’t a big change but makes a man happy.

If some hone make a good plug-in for girder or make some configuration file put it somewhere on the web or send it to me.

Sorry for my bad English, but I hope you will understand.

for the Girder plugin

for the Girder plugin

I have a new configuration file for girder, now you can switch between monitor and TV, ATI Icon must be in the tray for this function to work, and you must map A,B,C,D,E,F keys in ATI RW software to Girder

Link„³ http://www.geocities.com/tai001hr

If somewhone knows how to map key, so i can change recolution over the remote

Cannot import the plug-in

Cannot import the plug-in

I downloaded Winamp2.x plugin v1.1 extract to plugin folder. When import the dll I got the message " the specified file is not a valid plugin". What's wrong ?? Please help. Thanks

Works great here. Thanks for the work, it makes life with the wife a little easier. Instead of trying to trying to explain, "it has to be the window in focus", just push the damn button.

Good job, I also like the option dialog. Now I just need one to be able to control netmeeting for phone calls. I have a nice wireless headset that goes throughout the house. Would be nice to dial and hangup from remote. Looks like I'll have to figure out the SDK stuff...

thanks... i'm just glad to hear that people are relatively happy with it.

i'm working on creating a control to switch between winamp2 and winamp3 with just 1 plugin. i figure it'd be easier to have just 1 plugin for all winamp than to have one for 2.x and one for 3.x
