...for eight years, the AMD T-Bird is currently the way to go for that speed.

well, i can tip you about a board i WOULDN'T have bought if i were you, the aopen ak73-pro. it should have been called ak73-problems. but athlon/tbird is the way to go, no matter what mobo you buy. it's the crispiest cracker on this planet at the moment. DON'T buy p4. not worth what you're paying. even if you've got some cash to spend. :D

thx people,
i have made my decision, to go for the amd 1.2/1.3 ghz tbird, but not sure which mobo to get, the only ddr boards that i can find at my local pc warehouse are the asus a7m 266 boards or something like that, but someone said not to bother buyin one, cos they have no multiplier control on them, can anyone suggest a place where i might be able to find a good board for ddr, i've searched 3 sites that i know of in the uk , all apart from one have ddr boards and the one they have is the asus one.

if anyone knows any good mobo retailers preferably in the UK, but if not else where will be ok

thanks

HI THERE, IF I WERE YOU I WOULD WAIT FOR VIA TO COME OUT WITH THE VIA 266 CHIPSET IN A FEW WEEKS, MAYBE IN 3 TO 4 WEEKS. DON'T BOTHER WITH THE AMD 760 CHIPSET IT SUCKS
