When do you think DirectX 8 will be ready?

I hear this month..but then again, Microsoft might delay them.

I heard November 20 to coincide with the Pentium 4 launch, but who knows after the Dimitri hack.

Does anybody think it'll be next year before we see it?
 
Well, since its been finalized, it should be out soon.
I suppose they are waiting for soemthing to release it with.

I was wondering, since many laptops still use the rage pro graphics, will they be compatible with DX8 games and such?
 
DirectX 8 Gold should be downloadable directly from Microsoft on Saturday. Something nice to wake up to, eh?
