coco (2017) with my 3 year old nephew… pixar movie … he loved it . he keeps telling me to play it over and over again
 
The Creator... yea this one needed a few more hours in the oven. so AI plus bluetooth FTW?... k... Nice vistas and effects tho.
 
Equalizer 1: Not bad first half and decent ending but then they relent on setups and go from intent to result... intent to kill bad guy, buy toothpaste... ?????... bad guy dies. It got funny pretty fast. Stylish and all but seemed a little cheap.
 
The other day I re-watched both Goodnight Oppy (doc about the Mars rovers that went years beyond their expected "life-spans"), and The Outpost, imo one of the best war movies ever.

Nice juxtaposition.

I have a list of movies I want to convince wifey to watch: Pulp Fiction, Casablanca, Lost in Translation, Ex Machina, among others.

I liked em all to some degree and more over time... they age well... tho the last one thought the ending was somewhat unbelievable. But over time you kind of accept its possible.
 
Equalizer 2: Now were talking... Pretty solid top to bottom.

Equalizer 3: Yes better than Wick 4... it was Act1 Wick, Act 2 this is brought to you by the Italian bureau of tourism, Act 3 Wick. Overall mostly a lovely film.
 
I don't agree at all with the statements about Equalizer movies but whatever floats your dirty boat.
 
The Farewell 7.5/10 - Finally got to watch this movie as Netflix licensed it this month. Heard a lot about it when it came out but I think it was stuck on Prime for the longest time. Is a family drama so no action at all.
 
Hunger Games S&S: Pretty good prequel and Snow origin story. Puts a little more meat on the bones of the HG universe. One can see how the author modeled Snow on some well known leaders in our modern world.
 
Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse 7.7/10 - I dunno the animation style can be really distracting at times with all that stuff popping around. I miss a lot of characters from the first movie and that this is a part 1 with a to be continued prevents me from rating in the 8's and above.
 
The Super Mario Bros Movie 7.0/10 - Definitely something you watch for the nostalgia trip or video game in jokes and not very much else. Well that and the Peaches song.
 
Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3 7.5/10 - Loved the Rocket Raccoon backstory and the cameos with Sly and Fillion. Fun movie though I felt it could've been compressed a little as 2.5 hours is getting to be a pretty lengthy runtime.
 
Napoleon Blownapart: 3-10. Its just bad. Watch Waterloo or the tv series from the early 2000's instead.
