What's next for nVidia after the 2080?

Thanks all! KAC, Bill, you guys are next.

soon as the Strix pops it little head up

I paid off the business credit card with 3k so it's all set to receive

……….

is it in yet ……..

…… where are the benchmarks :hmm:

nvidia store is back OOS on the FE

they must have had very few of these or a lot of bad ones as I don't think they are selling all that fast

Nvidia plans to do 7nm start Q2 2019 with Ampere too replace Turring.

The 20XX line was just a cash grab because they could.

AMD will be announcing the 7nm Navi alongside Zen 2 but it will more then likely only be an efficiency update, basically Vega but at half the power consumption. Might get to 1080ti performance or close too.

The rumors for the "Ampere" or however you want too call it release from Nvidia is 15% - 20% with 65% - 70% efficiency.

In my opinion there's actually a lot more uplift in a more efficient Vega than commonly thought. Vega's efficiency at lower clock speeds actually was very good. Like Ryzen it hits a frequency wall, where insane voltage is required to push through. To compete with Pascal they had to push clocks into that range, resulting in **** efficiency.

At similar power consumption I'd guess Vega is only maybe 20% slower. So, relatively small improvements can have an outsized effect on its standing vs Nvidia. And Nvidia really gave them a gift by almost standing still for a generation.

so are you happy with the card and FPS increase ?

your at 1440p aren't you ?

Yes, 1400. Am I happy? Yes and no. I would have expected way more than 20fps for top of the line next gen but it's cool and quiet and it's a middle of the road overclocker 130 core and 500 men.

Still evaluating but 90 to 100 fps in odyssey is very nice. Some scenes still dip to 60s.
