A friend of mine gave me this card for my linux server (it was using the integrated one), and I have to know the exact model of the card.

Here is the card:

Some form of ATI Mach64 .. I'm guessing 2 - 4 MB.

Yes, I know that. That's the name of the core, but there was various models that integrated this core (for example, ati 9500 and ati 9700 pro both use R300 core). What model is this is what I want to know.

I think it's an ATI WinCharger with the Mach64 CT chip.
Not that it really makes much of a difference. The card is so old, any OS you install it on will have built-in drivers for it already.

Damn! That is old. One word to explain just how old it really is.

"Carbon Dating"

I know, but my server doesn't have agp slot (has integrated video, and that mobos usually lacks agp slot, and I don't want to have the graphic card eating ram space and bandwidth), and for a linux server in text mode I think it will do fine.

i think u should just use the onboard one cos u should have enough ram to spare for graphix, putting this POS graphix card would waste more bandwidth and electricity i believe.

I have enough ram, but whenever I use the onboard one, my memory bandwith get down to 400 MB/s from 1000 MB/s (it's a 133 fsb P3).
