What about Omega and Cyborg?

I'm pretty sure they can, but I don't know for sure. Thos was not the answer you were looking for, right?

ATI changed some things in the drivers, so that RageTweaker does not work (if I understood correctly), also anisotropic filtering is disabled on older Radeons for some reason. But the drivers still use the registry and apart this AGP-thing there is no self tuning or autoconfiguring going on (yet).

Anisotropic filtering, and particularly the Smoothvision D3D settings are broken with Rage3D Tweak and the catalyst drivers. I plan on having an updated r3dtweak out later today to work with the catalyst drivers.

I'm confused.

ATI FAQ on Catalyst:
Q14: Do RADEON™ 7000 and MOBILITY RADEON™ support Anti-Aliasing or Anisotropic Filtering?

A14: At the present moment, these features are not supported on the RADEON™ 7000, or MOBILITY RADEON™ graphics accelerators.

Does "7000" is the same as "7200" I have? If so, then anisotropic is disabled, right? But with RageTweaker it can me enabled? Why such a limitation in first place? It's not like they are completely programming the way the aniso is done by the older cards, are they?

Well, I hope if they do touch these drivers, the do a bit better job than the last set (1071). No offense, but when you clearly break things as simple as a screensaver, yet the official drivers squeak along just fine, I think I'll stick with the regulars and do minor tweaks on my own if I feel like it.
