Wall mount dimensions - help!

So...

I've got a OmniMount (OC100T) installed which supports 100x100mm - 400x300mm but the TV I want to mount is a Samsung UN40EH5300 which is 400x400mm.

Will it work? I have to assume it will not but I don't really have any experience with the VESA standards and need to find out so I can figure out how to proceed.

You can still mount with just the top two vesa mounts, though I would be careful about handling if you do, as you can easily bend/warp the mounts if you were to pull the bottom of the tv away from the wall once its mounted up.

If you are concerned about having all 4 mounts, you can also spend $15 for a monoprice mount. Those have better tilt as well.

Thanks for the response. Assuming I can get some bolts attached somewhere on the TV I'll be happy - I'm not concerned with stability because I won't touch the TV again once it's up there.

I'd like to use a different mount but I've already go this in the studs and don't want to mess with it. I'll go down that road if this new TV doesn't like the existing mount.

I would just keep an eye on it if you have a large amount of downward tilt because it will be putting torque on those 2 mounts. If you put a fatty tv on it, the mounts will bend quite easily just from the tilt.

I would suggest using the middle or lower mount holes on the bracket arms, as it will let the upper half of the bracket arms work as support to keep the tv from bending those mounts.

The TV ended up being 200x200mm, which is what Amazon had it listed as.

Samsung's website showed 400x400mm. Go figure.

I suggest getting two pieces of square steel rod from home depot and drilling two sets of holes in them. One set will be spaced at 400 mm (to mount to your tv) and the other at 300mm (to mount to your stand). Then spay paint them black and bolt them in place.

Worked great for a similar problem I had with a projector mount.

edit: N/M guess it wasn't a problem after all.
