voltages on K7T pro2a

just wondering if anyone else has experienced this - my father got a microstar k7t pro2a for christmas and wants (me) to overclock his duron 600. well all is fine and good. i got it up to 900 no sweat so he is happy. but i got a question for all you tech gurus.

i noticed that the voltage spread in the bios ranges from 1.3X up to 1.70v. is this right? i would think that it would go up to the 1.85 like most other boards since the board supports the athlons up to 1.2GHz which run at 1.85v. the only thing i can think of is that the Bios detects that it is a duron and tops it off at the highest 'official' voltage of the chip(duron 800?). does this sound feasible or has anyone seen different?

thanks, and GO POKES!

Yes, the BIOS detects the CPU and usually sets it to the default voltage.. With my first Duron 600MHz (which was unlocked), the voltage ranged from 1.4v to 1.725v.. I then connected the L7 bridges with a pencil and the default voltage went from 1.6v to 1.85v. Right now, I have that Duron on my other system running at 1008MHz (112*9.0) without any problems at all with 1.85v.
