v-sync in jkII

Does anyone know how to turn on v-sync in jkII
I am using the plutonium 6.1 drivers. I am getting bad tearing
across the screen, as I did in RTCW. I've turned it on in the open gl tab, but it doesn't seem to be working. It is really noticeable when you move the mouse back and forth when looking at a door way, or something with edges???

You can turn it on in the video settings for the game, or just drop down the console (use SHIFT and the 'tilde' key) and type 'r_swapinterval 1').
