Hi All

I begun to test Cyberpunk 2077 on my rig and tune it.I put the 1080p monitor and because i was pleased how is working i decided to play it.In 1080p i turned down some minor stuff.I got the infor from digital foundry video.

The thing on my ryzen 1700 it was oced to 3700 mhz all time and memory at 3200mhz C14 tuned mannnualy. Also the B350 is not very good with 3200mhz tuned memory. The game was crashing very very often.I didn't want to waste my time on troubleshooting and instead of defaulting memory turned down Oc i decided to upgrade my rig to a 5600x.The thing is i found the CPU brand new but open box with warranty from official shop for 230 euro.
The mainboard is a MSI B550M Bazooka for 120 euro
And a new pc case be quiet! pure base 600 at 75 euros.

I tested again Cyberpunk 2077 with tuned 3200mhz memory on my new rig and was flawless no crash.I will keep playing and hope no crash.

It's going to be worth it, now you don't have a cpu that is slower than the one in the ps5/new xbox.

The funny thing happened...
Cyberpunk crashed in a more radical way than my old rig...It actually made the PC resets itself. .. haha
The even funnier is that i couldn't load ANY save from Cyberpunk because after the bar finished loading the level it just restarted the PC....HAHAHA three times...
For 30 minutes the game refused to load any autosave or save without restarting the pc...
I had no solution so i put windows to download updtates and then suddenly all saves begun to work again....Not sure how much related it is to Cummulative updates...
I thought buying a new rig will make things hassle free... :)

New hardware might need OS patch did not occur to you? :bleh:

Help your PC help you.

Ya you can sometimes find good deals on the 5600x but I cant go back to 6 cores after being on 8 cores this long... Id rather spend the money from a mobo/cpu for a better gpu instead.

Does core count really matter if it's around 50% faster across the board?

1700 to 5600x is a nice upgrade, enjoy badsykes

The windows 10 was installed from scracth.I played hours a couple of days and then suddenly in the middle of action pc resets itself.
If the cummulative updates made the game work again that's intersting to say at least.

I could actually go even cheaper with a 10400f and b560 but i wanted the upgrade path to higher core count when it matters.I agree with you i thought the same from 8 core to 6 core but i look at reviews and is much faster in all scenerios.ANother aspect is the 5800x was much more expensive than this one.
I hope after Alder Lake and whatever come next the 5000 series prices may lower so i can buy something like a 5900x.

I think he made the right choice, no point upgrading graphics with his old 1700. Now he has a solid foundation to build upon.

Be a sport KAC and send him a 3070. :p

If I were in the US giving away hardware would be feasible. As it stands it is not worth it due to massive shipping costs and original cost of hardware.

@Hapatingjaky: Already downloaded but i get this message

I have never had a restart while playing but...... could it be the PSU?

If you look at the second link i posted people have similar problems either nvidia or amd.Intel or AMD cpu's. Not so sure is the PSU.Some are beefy systems.
I suspect my memory tunning settings generated with Dram Calculator for Ryzen.
