Hello everybody,

this might be of some interest for all you graphics and fps geeks
out there. It seems that the release of the Unreal perormance test 2002
(based on the full Unreal 2 engine) is very close.

So my question: is there anybody who already has the download at hand?? ;-)

If not, we better keep our eyes open .... ;-)

BTW. It´s the test Anandtech used where the Radeon8500 initially
kicked some nVTi500 butt...
 
Originally, Unreal forced everyone to go out and buy the most powerful $300 vidcard around...could be the same case with Unreal 2, unless if people don't mind running at lower resolutions. :-/
 
hmmm... well I'm in delima in whether to upgrade or not. I guess the most logical choice condsidering that I want to enjoy UT2 is to buy a replacement for Voodoo5 next week hopefully if possible.

I'm glad I never bought a next-gen card yet (8500/GF3/etc.). Now I can be sure to get one that runs "the game that will save PC gaming".
 
What needs saving? In case you didn't notice, us hardcore PC gamers are a dying breed. The console lamers are overrunning us real bad, like 5-1.
Givin Unreal 2, we can rub it in their noses :)
 
ya i bet it ll look pretty bad man.
im in the same boat as u and need an upgrade real bad.
my 8500 was my first upgrade since i got my first comp 3 years ago, pushin 4.
gettin a bunch of new stuff soon too, just b4 ut2003 is released. maybe b4 warcraft 3 :)
