Time for the yearly trackday on a bike!
Since I don't want to wreck my 2014 Triumph Street Triple, I switched from racing my own bikes to rental racers last year. Had a lot of fun at the Assen TT circuit on a Honda CBR600RR last year. This year, they changed bikes, and we were able to rent a brand new Yamaha R6 RACE, outfitted with GYTR parts. A massively expensive €20.000 bike, by far the best race bike I've ever ridden. Unfortunately, that price tag and shitty weather resulted in very little trust in my own capabilities.
So it was a slow track day with some difficult sessions, but I did have fun. And beforehand, I told myself that if I'd have an okay day, it might be my last for the foreseeable future. Either I'm buying a track bike some time in the future, or I'm not racing anymore, I think. Haven't completely decided yet.
