Trek to Yomi is about the swordsman Hiroki, a man who has made a promise to his dying master to protect his town against anyone or anything that would wish to harm it. Players will face off against humans and supernatural enemies in a game that blurs the line between reality and the mystical.

Looks like a very stylish slasher, will keep an eye on it for sure.

it's released and it's a gorgeous looking, very short slasher with a bit underwhelming combat sadly. Still drop dead gorgeous artstyle.

Most people will wait for it to be on game pass, i guess.

Hope the game isn't entirely in b&w. It's beautiful, but I don't think I'd spend alot of hours playing that way.

According to reviews.. the whole game is B&W

so it's no secret that I collect CRT televisions. I've got nearly 20 (hooked up to old game consoles). Believe it or not, it's a thing these days, and there's facebook communities for CRT collectors. I think it's great.

But every once in awhile, I see someone who is really into collecting b&w tv sets, and I'm like WTF? Why would anyone want that?

Different strokes, right? But geez I'm not really into b&w stuff. I mean, it's fun for a few minutes, but color exists for a reason, amirite?

the game is around 3-4 hours long and believe me, b&w is the only way this one works as intended.

Oh okay. Yeah, for a short game it makes more sense.

Makes me wonder though, if they designed all of the assets in b&w, or if there's a color game underneath and they just render it in b&w.

sadly there almost zero replayability, i'd go as far as to say it's more of an art project than a game. Well, just try it, you'll see what i mean. Personally i don't regret the 10 bucks i paid for it.

I like how this game looks, but TBH, I've zero fun with the game ever since the setting changed, right now it feels like this is the longest short game that I've ever played.

I gave it about an hour. Loved the look, hated the gameplay. Glad it was on Gamepass so I've not wasted anything but time.
