Only thing I saw was a bunch of messed up graphics and no differnce in how the game ran. Anyone considering going to these alpha 6093's, I would wait till something more offcial comes our way.

I'll have to agree with RanCorX2 on this one.
After installing the 6093 drivers, I have also noticed a great improvement in the GTA3 texture detail/filtering... the game no longer has a "washed out" appearance...

The stuttering is also gone on my system, just the occasional slowdown, but nothing major...

agreed. Don't know why everybody is fuzzing about the leaked driver. You don't even have tabs with the leaked drivers.... What does that tell you???

Yes you can update but than you just have the 71 drivers combined with the leaked. I did not improve at all so I'll just wait till they really come out and are optimized and FINISHED.

Well you guys can play it safe and use official drivers. We simply prefer to modify the 71's with the 93 updated files (easy enough to get tabs). There's no reason we shouldn't. 100% stability here plus a performance increase.

They do perform faster for GTA3 but the fun stops when it gets foggy. The whole screen becomes too foggy and it's hard to see anything. I'm using the Radeonator to tweak the fog settings gut I don't think it's working.

Edit: I spoke too soon. I fixed it. :p

why do u need to merge 6701 with the new leak? i just installed over 6071 like i do to all the drivers and kept my tabs and gained performance simple as that...ati u in my good books again :)

Don't really know why ... but since updating to 6093 GTA3 doesn't start anymore ... double click icon, or start executeable ... wait one or two secs and you are returned to the windows desktop ...
i am using w2k + 6093 without any modifications ... :> ... i am to lazy to try clean install, but maybe some got this error too, and has a fast solution ... ;)

Im not waiting for Officials Im waiting for something that is beta not alpha. These new 6093's are junk in my book! Screwed up not only the one game I tried GTA3 but also screwed up my dual monitor setup. No thanks!

lol

lol

but that sounds really dodgy merging 2 sets together wouldn't that fu*k it up? i would rather have 1 or the other not both, it would like having those omega or plutomium drivers they just weren't good enough for me and were buggy in my view lots of jerkyness and loop errors. i think ati's are the best sofar.
