The Last of Us Remake is Coming to the PC

This is the last nail in my PS5 coffin. Selling it tomorrow (or ASAP).
The PS5 version is coming later this year, PC version in development.

I personally see no reason to keep this P(o)S anymore.

PS: This is my opinion, others may disagree.

Here is the linky:

Also TLOU 2 rumored to be coming as well

HAHA NICE

I started getting a bit interested in this series since the HBO TV series was being filmed in my home town for the past year (i think it just wrapped up filming yesterday)

I noticed it was originally on PS3 so i could have gotten it on that.

But now that the remaster will come to PC, i might end up getting it there.

I don't get why they don't port bloodborne and DeS, do they not realize just how popular those games would be on pc?

Sony finally figured out there’s a lot of PC gamers out there eh? It’s about time. Bloodborne should have been ported before Demon’s Souls.

This news makes me very happy. Loved TLOU1 on PS3 and the remaster on PS4, will bone again on PC.

I want to say I wouldn't play this again... but I said that when it re-released for PS4 and I did... and I totally enjoyed it. So I can't wait to play it again :D

And yeah... Uncharted is coming as well :D

Am I reading this right? Upset that because it's getting released on PC at a later date, it makes the PS5 less valuable? Is it a common reason to buy the PS5 to get access to arbitrary exclusives?

I pegged this before. Sony realized they could capitalize on their console with exclusives, and then again on PC, as many people who already own and completed the game on the console buy it again on PC because they want to play it again, but better. It seems they might be f**king up here - they need to wait two years or so before releasing it on PC. Technically, "a later date" still qualifies for this. But that sentence shouldn't even be a thing.

By the rantings of people online, the exclusives are the ONLY reason to get Ps5.

I find the it super funny how people flip the fck out about the PS games coming to PC. Comedy gold !!!

I wouldn’t say the exclusives are the only reason for the console, not really. Sometimes I just find it easier (and quieter) to fire up the ps5 rather than the pc, and as most of what I play are console games that are, or soon will be, ported to the pc, I’ve had smoother experiences on the ps5. Or….just couch gaming. It’s nice lol.

I do agree with you though about the pc ports. More gamers across more platforms means better gaming for everyone imo. If a console fanboy has issues with that, I’ll just ignore them. It’s hardware for goodness sake. No more, no less.

Bring on the pc ports.

True.. some people do like consoles for the ease of use.

Is it a common reason to buy the PS5 to get access to arbitrary exclusives?

Isn't that the reason for a lot of people, especially PC gamers? Exclusives if you're a single player gamer, friends if you're a multiplayer gamer. The ecosystem has always been relatively closed off. Now that Sony are porting those exclusives to PC, I think it's very normal for a group of gamers to conclude they no longer need a PS5.

I'm guessing Sony did the math though, and figures they're better off with the combination of a marginally smaller PS5 market plus a huge PC market, than they would be if they just focused on the PS5 and kept ignoring the PC.
