The Callisto Protocol (2022)

Yeah, I don't think Dead Space looked bad at the time, so I don't need a remake (at least not at full price). Cautiously optimistic about Calisto Protocol though.

The only thing I am interested about in the season pass is the story DLC. I would expect new death animations from that and once again people are overreacting.

Also apparently this game has Denuvo. Fortunately I don't really care enough about either issue for it to change my plans of buying the game.

Instead of overreacting, consumers need to start making smart decisions about who and what they support with their money. The gaming industry arguably has become stagnant, and the hardware supporters of it greedy. Know what I'm on about? This games genre has not seen any advancement in a very long time. Its all about moving backwards, dodging, and killing everything that moves on the monitor.

Since the dawn of time, fads and interests of humans have cycled over and over again every round about 20 years. Fight the fights worth fighting. Or make the games yourself.

Apparently some people are heralding this as GOTY without playing it. There are so many dumbasses on the internet these days, I don’t know how the world operates on a daily basis.

I've been gaming since the early 80's. No doubt about it, the industry is stagnant and in need of a little oversight. About the game. A new 30 minute leaked video has emerged of gameplay on the ps5 in 4k.. Some of the protagonist death animations are pretty visceral.

I don't think good games always need to advance things. Many great games are not exactly new ideas, they're just something done very well (e.g. Witcher 3)

Overhyped IGN gave it a 7/10. Bargain binned.
8 hour campaign for 60. In 2022. Sorry.

Gamespot. 5/10. Ouch.

People are commenting that Max and Ultra settings cannot be selected in the options menu. Is the game forcing you to own a 4080 to have these 2 options available?

Just trying the benchmark and the stutters are horrendous on my 6700xt. I'm thinking about refunding but will try 1hr of the campaign first.

Played 1 hr of the single player. Lots of stutter whenever you enter a new area or a new enemy appears. It's practically unplayable.

I’m about an hour in. It runs and looks great on the PS5, but just based on gameplay alone I recommend passing on this one. So far it’s just annoying and tedious.
