Star Wars Jedi Survivor

I'll be holding off for a sale. Have such a backlog that even though I'm itching to play this, I could spend the next year just playing backlog games.
...but I really want to play it. haha

Game is running great for me with all settings maxed (7900XTX). Using FSR Quality at 4K to keep it smooth.

Fun game so far. No crashes or hitches for me, but I've got high-end hardware (13900K + 4090 +64Gb RAM). Getting over 90fps consistently at 3440x1440 on Epic settings with RT on.

Really no stuttering? That’s something. Crashes only happen on Jedha for me. Hitches happen on Koboh.

Game is absolutely dope. Might be an AMD only feature I guess.

Haven't had a single crash yet, but performance isn't great. KOBOH runs poor. JEDHA runs well. They need to do some huge geometry / portal / foliage optimizations on koboh because it's a hog. For me it's playable and I've seen worse performers but such a shame this isn't 30% smoother.

overall i like it, better than the first. combat is pretty fun this time (easier?) and stances are nice. it's structured pretty well in terms of the saloon story stuff and rumors etc. The platforming feels better and there is more space between the obstacle course pieces. More time with mirren which is good too.

Oddly enough, the only stuttering I see is during the loading screen when the EA logo appears. Once I'm in-game, everything is smooth. Could be because I'm not running at 4K.

At least it's getting support. I just hope that by the time it's free for GamePass it's all sorted out :D

Played and finished it. Cancelled my subs to EA Pro Play Extreme Ultra because I'm done with the game.

8/10 overall. Enjoyed it much more than the first one because platforming is slicker and quicker. Combat is fun with the extra stances. I used blaster and crossguard for most of the game since they worked fairly nicely together. The exploration asepcts feel much better this time around as you have animals that can transport you across planets, lots and lots of shortcuts, plus fast travel between meditation spots. Story had some decent aspects too. I went back and played a few hours after finishing to clean up some areas I wanted to revisit. There are definitely lots of things to see and find. Koboh is pretty massive.

Completed the game. Loved it, save for the performance issues. All the patches definitely helped but Koboh still has some lingering problems. Put in about 41.5 hours. Still have stuff left over to do. GOTY for me so far.

Just picked it up and played a little of the first level so far. Really surprised there's no DLSS option. Playing at 4k maxed only getting around 60fps with the 4090. Character movement seemes like its from 2001 though which is odd given how well the last game was done.

DLSS would've done wonders for this game.
As for character movement, I think it is pretty similar to first one.
Yes, FPS does dip to 60s often. However, some places it hovers around 70-90 fps as well. It really is a mixed bag in terms of performance.
I had a blast with it and actually even after finishing the game I am still going around trying to 100% planets which is revealing quite a lot of boss fights, story elements and also bounties. A fun time all around for me.

Hovering around 60 with occasional spikes to 70 and 90, options mixed high/epic, RT and hdr on, 4080 at 1440p UW, at times the lighting can be jaw-dropping. Exploration is really really fun and in some instances the level of polish is astounding, less so in others.
Really enjoying it, playing slow hoping for more patches.
Pretty much my story with gpu's has been that whichever brand I choose, games I wish to play which are optimized for the competition start pouring in. Not sure if funny.

I am surprised you like this so much. I just started and it’s a very Souls-lite type of game. I like it. Sort of surprised you dropped out of Elden Ring so fast if you like this type of gameplay. I guess the big difference is you start as a Jedi in this game and start as a pathetic tarnished in Elden Ring. Combat isn’t that different. Dodge + counter was easy to defeat the first Inquisitor. I am only still escaping Corusant which is the starter level. But, the layout and exploration potential seems low. I am sure later levels will be better. My biggest problem is I keep attacking with R1 constantly. Been programmed by too many hours in other Souls games.:eisberg:
