Spiderman finally coming to PC

Will not be double-dipping until I can purchase really cheap from a 3rd party site.

I'm in the same boat. I already own this on PS4. And while it's a big visual upgrade, it's not even close to worth full price just for that.

The current price would have made some sense if Spider Mans pc was the OG game + Miles Morales.
Word up.

The Ray tracing on PC is dope af though. Thinking about picking it up to check that shizzle out. Haven’t seen any benches on a 3090 Ti at 1440P though and want to see if frame rate holds above 75-80 with everything maxed out.

Show the 3090 non-ti on a 12900k @ avg 83fps, 1% 61 with TAA. Better with DLSS.

Shows the 3080ti on a 5900X @ avg 75fps (scroll about mid way down the page)

So... I'd say your good to rock n' roll. Especially given a 6600XT can rock optimized settings from Digital Foundry, RT HIGH with FSR 2.0 set to Quality @ 1440p and get 60+fps with a 50's 1% low... your going to be fine on a 3090ti

Damn well optimized.

Awesome thanks. Will pick it up next year when price is 20 bucks. :bleh:

This game is awesome and the web-slinging/traversal is second to none, but it seems like the combat is a little tougher to get the hang of than the Arkham games. I've already gotten pummeled a few times on the default difficulty level and even died once at the Kingpin boss early in the game (when he summoned a bunch of thugs to help him, I just got overwhelmed). I think the "air juggling" stuff is what I'm having the most difficulty with, since combat in the Arkham games was always more grounded. You also have to constantly be aware of the fact that you can throw stuff at enemies, which is something I'm always forgetting about in the heat of the moment. It feels like there's just more multitasking going on in general.

You can try playing with a controller. Combat would be more fluid using that.
Otherwise, yes it does take getting used to and especially unlearning Arkham games because in those games combat is more about jumping around long distances without any reason.

Later on in the expansions it gets harder.

I cracked, I'm a giant spider-man fan and Greenman Gaming threw me 16% off.

Initial steam download was corrupted though. So if the below picture happens to you have steam verify and repair the game.

Still holding on. Damn you Trunks!
I already played and finished this game twice.

Has anyone else been experiencing memory leaks with this game? It runs beautifully for roughly an hour or so, then the performance slowly but surely degrades to the point of frequent stuttering and frame rate drops (especially noticeable while swinging through the city). As soon as I quit to desktop and restart the game, the performance is back to being more or less flawless even in the exact same areas.

I haven't seen any "official" reports on this, but there have been several posts about it on the Steam forums as well as Reddit and based on my own experiences I'm nearly positive there's a memory leak or some other serious issue that causes performance to steadily decline over time. Either way, I really hope they fix it soon because the game itself is outstanding!
