I've read somewhere that if you have a master drive without a slave drive, it can slow things down. Is that true? I'll have a secondary master drive without a slave drive, will that slow things down?

No...there was this thing back in the day where if you had a good drive and a bad one (slower, not bad), that the fast one would only be as fast as the slower one, but this isn't true anymore.
What you are speaking of I don't think was ever true...did you get thtat information from 'menes' by any chance? He sounds like he would say something like that

Is it true that if you have a slave and a master drive of the same leve (primary or secondary) used at the same time, the secondary will run slower?
Any suggestions on the IDE settings? I'll have two HD's (Raid 0), IDE DVD drive, IDE CD-RW drive, floppy, what will I have to do to achieve maximum speed? This question also goes for my other computers too.
Anyone have any ideas when the Abit KG7-RAID will be out?
