Skype is dead to me - what now?

So Skypekit is now dead which means 3rd party clients like my main IM software, Trillian, will no longer work with the Skype protocol. I've had to install the actual Skype software in order to keep in touch with friends. Holy **** it's awful - a reminder to why I have used Trillian for a decade.

The problem is that because of the whole merge with MSN/Live Messenger accounts to Skype, that's where all my friends are. I want to ditch Skype, but I can't. Thanks Microsoft :mad:

I don't know what to say but I feel ya. Skype is one bloated pile of crap. Right now I don't use any messenger.
