I'm not whining or complaining. So if it sounds that way let me apologize in advance. Since I was not offering said piece of software to anyone nor was I explaining how to get it. I simply was curious about all the quirks in my version of the game and was curious as to what the full version was. As for the other statement that was my opinion as most people here know (as my fiancee most certianly does: ) I am often full of s#$t and this may another log. However, its my log and I thought it was well within my rights to discuss it. I have certianly seen more questionable material here. If you would like to expound on your closing of the previous thread that would be appreciated.

p.s. I'm not harping on the mod's they generally do a good job here.

I do, if the game is any good! I paid for JK1, System Shock2, Theif2, Half-Life, Unreal Tournament ( and anything in the unreal series ), Baulder's Gate ...etc. Sometimes I need to verify the quality of the product. I guess I'm just dreaming of a fantasy land where gaming companies realize they charge way too much money for software and are willing to drop prices.

Wait for a demo to come out. Read the reviews. Ask other people who bought the game. And besides.. even if you did download an illegal copy of the game, what difference does the version number make? Surely you have enough to make a decision as to whether or not you are willing to purchase the game.

Using that excuse to justify warez is kind of like stealing a car to see how well it drives. If you like it, you'll go out and buy the car. If you don't like it, oh well.. you've still got a car.

I don't really think your thread should have been closed because of warez talk (since there was no information provided on how to get the game), but if it remained open, I seriously doubt that you would have gotten any useful feedback.

All of these answers to your questions are about right. The question you asked was based on your version of a gmae you obtained illegally. yes most of us are guilty of doing that at some point. But you still can't talk about it in these forums. There is just no reason to justifiy it. As well some of your posts in there didn't help your case either. So no hard feelings or anything, its just those are the rules. Sorry.
If you want to discuss it more, please PM me. Thanks.
