Silent Hill 2 - Remake.

Ouch, this ones gonna need some tweaking. Because at first glance it looks bad... but when you start comparing the image quality of maxed out with RT to even just High... it can be pretty subtly different visually, but massively different in FPS.

The upscaling situation isn't great either. I think I'd let this one cook in the patching oven for abit. Or just back off from maxed out, as it really doesn't look like its worth it and you won't be missing anything by running some optimized settings.

It looks like it has some of that UE stutter, it really is a shame that only games published/developed by microsoft seems to be the only UE-powered titles that just runs like they are supposed to.

At least this on is no Jedi Survivor, but it is kind of worrying that almost all UE titles seems to have some issues when you consider that UE is THE engine right now.

Well, Microsoft does have the UE wizards at The Coalition. I'm guessing they're reluctant to share their secrets with outside parties, lol

So far this game is pretty good. Visually nice, atmosphere good, story interesting, action is okay.

However I'm finding that it kinda lacks variety. I'm like 8 hours into the game and there has been like 3 main enemy types, which aren't all that different anyway since they all melee attack (one has a vomit). And all I have is a melee weapon, pistol and shotgun. Compared to a lot of action games (Res Evil or anything else really) it just seems too shallow.

A performance mod is almost mandatory until the game is patched, there's quite a few to choose from. I've heard there's players with 4090s capping their FPS at 30 to minimize the effect of stuttering - crazy. I'm using this performance mod, seems to work fine so far.
