Well here should I call out everyone here that is biased? You're a mod, you are an example of this site, instead you do the things that shouldn't be done, how is that an example of you and what you represent?

Careful there razor, I shouldn't need to remind you that bitterman volunteers his time here, doesn't get paid, doesn't get any perks, isn't a robot, and is entitled to own opinion just like you. And quite frankly, im getting very tired of some of the comments directed towards him when he expresses his opinions. blah blah blah your a mod etc...

Theres not enough info to make a conclusion either way(like you pointed out 4-5 posts ago) so perhaps don't be so quick to correct ppl that think there is potentially a hardware issue.

There is enough to make a conclusion that its capable in hardware, just not how good it will be.

The reason for this is, if it was being done is software (CPU) latency would be much higher, just a simple understanding of the latency of going from CPU to GPU and vice versa shows that, we will be talking about milliseconds instead of microseconds.

Behavior is what is important, even as a volunteer mods still represent this site, doesn't need to be paid or unpaid, if someone volunteers at red cross doesn't that person represent red cross.

He could have instead calling me out gave a statement that contradicted what I said which would have been enough.

You say everyone has an opinion I agree, so my saying its hyperbole was my opinion, that warrants his statement? I get it, if someone doesn't like what another person says they can always use the bias card is that right, is that what you are condoning? If that is the case ever member here should start doing that.

This is getting even better.

Yes and I will, and we have good discussions, because of that, I learn somethings as well, but by no means I'm correct all the time, and I have agreed on Bob's points at times, but other times I don't, because he doesn't have the experience on some things as I don't have of his

Like working directly with the game dev departments of both IHV's as I have, like the negotiation process between to the two.

I'm a mod and Also a fan of AMD and Nvidia products both. What I've seen on this site is an alarming amount of AMD dumping going on over the past couple of years. I would hope that new people interested in getting help with or learning about AMD products can come to this AMD fan site without having to wade through all of the anti AMD drivel. You have a right to your opinions and so do I. Have you seen me dumping on Nvidia products? They have some great products and excellent software engineers. The only issue I have with them is the way they force implement gameworks in an all or nothing approach. If you're going to call me out please be specific as to when and to what extent. Please by all means tell me what I shouldn't do?

PS: Any statements I make will only be counter argued to death because what we have is both just opinions in the end so why bother. I'm surprised my using the word "biased" offends you so much? I call it like I see it. I'd be happy to be proved wrong.

At first I didn't think it was geared at me, I thought you were talking about the original poster of the link that set up, but when I reread what stated it was clear, that was what pissed me off, I agree we all have our opinions which is fine.

If nV doesn't fix this issue with their driver updates, I can say without a doubt I will be annoyed and post the way I have posted like this with the way AMD has been screwing over its customer base, and if you want to turn a blind eye to that, that's up to you, I can't see anywhere that they have done great things for their customers for the past year and half or so and it reflects on their market share. To tell you the truth if it comes out to the point that nV lied to the developer, it would be even worse than what AMD has done so far, because they would have pressured another party to lie for them.

I'm not telling you want you should do, I'm telling you if you don't think you don't represent this site you are mistaken.

Of course I'm a mod and represent the website. I never stated otherwise. I also have my own opinions. As long as it doesn't break the rules and isn't a personal attack I like everybody else are free to post our own thoughts. I feel certain posters are biased to one vendor or another. If I see it as being blatant I will call it out. Again I would love to be proven wrong.

Argue back and forth to your hearts content, just don't complain so and so is a mod when there is a difference of opinion. Nothing more, nothing less.
If this is unsatisfactory I encourage you to hit the report post button where all the site moderators can look at it and review it.

In my Opinion Nvidia has been screwing their customers more than AMD with there hardware obsolescence, proprietary code which can lock the developer/industry into not innovating due to license agreements (use Hairworks in your game, then later develop your own hair system - see what Nvidia will do to you). To me, AMD makes mistakes or say things with some spin. Nvidia intentionally says things knowing full well it is not the case as in the 970 (which is a great card even with the memory fragmentation) at this point in time. Nvidia GameWorks I find too controlling to support anything like that. Now Nvidia may not really support DX12 at a minimum level hardware wise or the most important aspect (doing graphics and compute at the same time) if limited or not capable then all Nvidia hardware will be limited -> need to upgrade again. Nvidia hype is hyperbola to AMD's hype in my opinion.

As for sites getting cards for review, that is totally AMD's discretion, any site that complains they don't get a toy to review should ask why. In HardOCP case just looking at the Nano thread you can tell the viewers are not interested in anything that size - that is fine no problem there - basically HardOCP is purely performance, damn the size and if performance warrants throw out the power/heat/noise too. It would be pointless to waste a card there. HardOCP can buy one when available if they really want to review one or wait until one of the vendors can give them one. I wouldn't be too surprise if HardOCP obtains one anyways through a different route.

This thread is AMD vs Nvidia thread so I can see arguments will come but get tired when same type of arguments happen on a purely AMD product threads. Maybe Rage3d can have a AMD vs. Nvidia Topic discussion area and keep it limited to one area to clean up the AMD graphics and Other graphics topic areas. More focus and easier to monitor as well as kick out the folks who just really does not contribute.

I expect a host of DX 12 titles coming out next year mainly because the consoles support (truly support) that on the hardware level. Not like the previous DX9 level generation consoles with DX10/11 hardware on the PC. A whole new ball game here. Rapid Windows 10 base with DX12 also helps, Vulcan will soon be here as well which will support a more wider base of operating systems. How this pertains to FuryX and 980Ti is that the FuryX over time may outperform the 980Ti (like the 7970 over the 680 while Hawaii came out first before Kepler). I keep cards normally way over 2 years except for the cheaper ones I buy, like the 750Ti system which I may sell shortly, the only high end Nvidia card that actually lasted me more than two years before becoming to slow was the GTX 8800 (with over a year of Vista driver issues), bought a GTX 260 and used it for like 6 months (it was an utterly pointless upgrade from the 8800), the Radeon 5870 was a true upgrade in everything over the 260.

Right and to get lied to the face just before launch is a great thing? Its setting expectations that AMD has a problem with. When they hyperbole, everyone is ready to give them a chance, remember when I stated that power was going to be an issue with these cards? What was the reaction like here? Rabid. Remember when I stated the performance here? What was the reaction? Rabid. Its pretty bad when people can't open up their eyes and take possible reality over marketing hyperbole. While the 970 was a crap move by nV, its the only mistake they have done this gen, AMD have done 3 missteps so far, delayed, rebranded, and unable to compete with nV on all fronts. All of these have cost them dearly. On top of this the hyperbole they have used which just created massive amounts of disappointments when reviews came out.

Marketing and PR, hyperbole is ok at times, but only when its based on truth, not on a lie. Its like a person that trash talks in sports, if he/she can back it up yeah that's great the physiological effects of it work, if not, nope.

This is the same sh*t they did with phenom and bulldozer. Its bad business, the best way to get around that, is don't say anything have the reviewers judge it. Sure they still will come to the same conclusion, but at least it won't be a disappointing let down of expectations.

About H Im sure something was said that pissed AMD off, the other two review sites I don't see why.

Does Nvidia lie,re brand stuff and have Shills?

You seem bent on bashing AMD and you did this in the distant past as well.

Yes,AMD is dying...blah blah blah.So what? You don't buy their brand and most likely never did?

Most of us want to see some real competition....not a boring,Green monopoly on video cards.

I'm all for a good debate but there hasn't been anything in this thread but nit-picking and and thinly-veiled insults for several pages now.

Agreed...like I was trying to point out yesterday why don't we give it a rest.

This is about the 980 Ti vs. Fury X....STAY ON TOPIC. This thread has about run its course so anymore and it will be closed.

I have bought AMD brands almost every generation, my gaming rig, I only use one card I have bought the 9700, 9800, and the x1900xt, since then I haven't touched an AMD card for gaming. I did get a couple for development though, the 4870, 5870, nV cards that I have bought, TNT2, GF3 ti, GF4 ti, 6800 ultra, 7800 ultra, gtx 580, gtx 680, Titan X.

I have received these cards from both IHV's,
5900 fx, 5800 fx, 6800 gt (2) , 9600 pro*, 9800 pro*, 9700 pro*, x1800xt, x850xt. The ones with the * I received multi amounts of these cards. Which our team used.

I used the 5900 and 5800 fx's for paper weights, and gave them away to a guy at radio shack after I tested them out.

Rebranding a whole line up is not common place nor will it ever be, what hurt AMD is this regard is the $200 price range didn't offer anything more than what consumer could have gotten before.

Interesting, so how come you your not vocal about the 970 move, but love to bash amd for pr and marketing mistakes. If you were truly unbiased like you say u are u would go after nvidia with the same intensity you go after amd.
