several "unknown devices" after installing Catalyst drivers XP Pro

I have the Radeon AIW 8500DV, with Windows XP Pro. I recently installed the new Catalyst drivers. After the reboot, Windows detected several unknown devices and asked me where the drivers were. The drivers installed successfully, and everything seems to be working, but what was it asking for?

Thanks

remove the unknown devices and install the capture drivers. <reboot>

they redesigned things, so after you follow these steps you will be fine.

I had the same problem. I installed the Catalyst drivers, then I rebooted and it said there were two unknown devices. I installed the capture drivers and rebooted. It seemed fine. Then I installed the MMC 7.6 and rebooted. Upon reboot the two devices were not found again. I tried to do a manual driver install but was unsuccessful. I tryed reinstalling the capture drivers and that didn't work either. I tried everything and couldn't get it to work. Finally I uninstalled all ati drivers, deleted all ati files from the c drive and rebooted the computer. I ended up installing the drivers off of the windows update site then installing the capture drivers off of the CD that came with my video card. How can I get around this problem in the future. It seems that lately any time I reinstall new drivers I loose the video capture drivers. Please help.

As the instructions say:

Install the new WDMs. DO NOT REBOOT
Install catalyst. Reboot
Install MMC
