I really like the look of the Santa Cruz, and if you really don't need much bed space that would be my choice. I think it actually has higher payload than the Ford. I voted for the Ford simply because it's got a bigger bed. The Ford can tow more I believe as well.

Honestly I would look at the Ridgeline too in that category.

My daily driver is my RAM 1500, so I also thought about voting get a real truck, but they are a pain in the ass to park in town. :D

Ram driver here too :D I would go for the Ford as well. It's half ton and has the bed space. if you needed more than that you wouldn't be looking at these models.

Isnt the Ridgeline a bit bigger than a Santa Cruz?
I mean its kind of the same thing (CUV with rear end chopped off) but size may be a factor.

Thanks for your input.

After thinking overnight. Maverick hybrid is my best option. It will be replacing my daily driver(Accord hybrid). I can't deal with the thought of getting less than 30mpg in a daily driver. It's not about the money, but the waste of energy.

The delay in the Maverick hybrid caused me to consider other options.
