This looks interesting.

You’ve gotta hand it to Samsung: the Korea-based consumer electronic giant really knows how to undercut just about everyone. Case in point, their new Galaxy Book is way cheaper than the newest Surface Pro tablet while being just as capable.

Available in two sizes — 10.6” and 12” — the Galaxy Book is either Wi-Fi only or 4G capable depending on the model that you end up purchasing, with the former being the Wi-Fi only model. Specs include 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage for the lower-end Galaxy Book with a variant that includes up to 128GB eMMC storage available for purchase as well. If that doesn’t seem like very much to you, you should know that the device also features a microSD slot that can give you up to 256 GB extra storage.

The Galaxy Book is a compelling purchase for anyone who wants to get work done while not at home. You can find out more, and purchase your own, via the link below.

Samsung has its own military unit.. they also own quite a few Sky Scrapers. Samsung is literally the future of Cyber Punk 2077 when corporations start to take over the world.

Microsoft has the corporate market, which is where the money is.. Samsung focuses on the consumer market. For instance, my company uses Apple, Dell and Microsoft devices. It will be a LONG time if ever, they use Samsung as an end user device (i.e. work device, not phone).

I didn't dig too deeply, but it seems there's no i7 variant? The i5 on my SP3 seemed a bit insufficient in spite of decent benchmark reports...

What variant i5 is it? The i5-6300HQ in my Dell laptop is pretty powerful, does all I need it to do in CAD/CAM, as well as gaming (thanks to the 965M video chip).

His i5-6300HQ is 3.2Ghz with 4 cores, so it's considerably faster than the dual core you have in your SP3.

3.1GHz “Kaby Lake” Core i5 dual-core CPU - I got that from Wired.

If it will handle CAD/CAM fine, then that's one concern shot down.

edit: I'm so far out of touch with the latest cpus...

Sorry I was asking what your SP3 has  But dual core leaves a lot to be desired, especially without Hyperthreading. Quad core i5's are great. I had a dual core i7 (w/ Hyperthreading) in my previous laptop, it was only okay, borderline meh.

ugh  Yeah it was a dual core. I don't remember which one though.
