Just another Troll
No bad cards just bad prices. 6700xt is a 400$ USD card.
The reference came out at 650 CAD and sold out imediately. But the aibs range up to 1100$ CAD.![]()
I agree, if you could buy it at that price it would be a great card.

Unless AMD already has the design & mask, it would be a costly endeavor, and being a limited solution due to reliance on gddr6 (consoles take a huge chunk). AMD's 7N wafer supply is improving quickly now, they will have ample for N23 and N24 to cater to lower tiers.

Can @AMD release an "RX 6490" on Global Foundries 12nm or Samsung 8nm to help with the ongoing GPU demand issues?
I analyze this question of foundry diversification, and @DanielNenni calls in to give his take as well!

Is it just me or is this forum a bit boring without Billy boy to liven things up?
His ban is over, I PMd him but he did not respond back.
The Radeon section is dying. No activity for days at a time. That is sad.
I figured Billy wasn't coming back.

I heard from him, he's got family things to take care of. Hope to see him back soon.
As Trunks said the utter lack of product availability does not help keep the conversation going.![]()

Doesn't help that the current gen is near impossible to source. So very few people here have them and are talking about em. The Geforce 3000 series became more available just before the crypto rush sent prices into insanity and availability for gamer's like us went completely off a cliff. So it makes sense, *shrug* nothing can be done about it for now.
Ya even after selling millions of gpus there are models that dont even exist on steam like the 3070 and 6800. We all know where they went. Many posts are about ownership tinkering with and bragging rights to that.
I think next gen will see a much changed environment if only because gpu makers will surely make a lot more of them. They are losing sales due to relative low supply and no company wants that.
Look at NigelG and me formally stalwart AMD Radeon owners now gone over to the dark side. That's why AMD's market share in GPU's is dropping at a time when they've launched their most competitive GPU's for generations. Must be galling for them. Unfortunately it's their own fault in trying to launch their own GPU's, CPU's and consoles in such a short time period.
Pax you're an optimist for sure. Next Gen is way off and I very much doubt prices will drop back to pre pandemic levels for quite some time to come, if ever. Lost sales I'm not too sure. What else can you buy? You can't buy a console they're not available either. Worse case scenario is they're just delayed until the supply issues get better.
What is intriguing is where are the AMD MBA 6800/6900's Henkelman & co promised to deliver since December at MSRP and the additional chips they promised to enable AIB's to bring down prices? Even more vapour ware it seems. TBH I'm just a dispassionate observer as I've managed to get a new GPU, CPU and monitor for more than I budgeted but I'm not bothered.
I've even beat the semiconductor shortages as I've just bought a brand new MG 5EV Exclusive which is a full electric vehicle and the delivery date is 8th April. Happy days.
