Came upon this video in my YT feed, since many here are looking to slap
benjamins on the table to get one, this should help you chose a good one
to enjoy.

I'm kinda glad the scalpers grabbed them all up now. This gives us a reason to be patient.

EVGA confirmed yesterday the cap issue is real, it caused them to change their production run.

However others are saying the crashes still happen even with FE cards and Evga cards. So while the cap issue may be real, it's an issue that may not be the full picture.

Igor's lab was wondering before if the PSU load may be to much for some power supplies as the huge transient spikes may be tripping protection features in some overly sensitive psu's and causing the crashes. LTT was saying the 850w platinum seasonic they were using in their test bench kept having the OCP trip when running the card and had to switch it out.

There may be other design choices nvidia/aib makers choose on the pcb that are also causing issues, or the gpu dies could have problems, or the super hot memory. who knows.

I was playing Mafia Definitive Edition earlier. After I exited the game I checked the core clock timeline in Afterburner for the hell of it. For a brief period it got to 2010MHz. Didn't crash or become unstable.

Like Shapeshifter stated above, there could be multiple factors at play here with people who are running into issues.

MSI cards are having the most trouble. Followed by 1-2 Gigabyte cards I have seen. Some Zotacs as well.

I also read that apparently Gigabyte is using a higher capacity vs. Zotac and that is why there are little to no issues with them.

I think all these claims are still not verified and there are too many variables at play to draw conclusions. What is important is that if you have the tiny caps card with at least 2 of those you should be set.

EVGA tested with 5x1 and didn't come up with any issues. I believe there are many issues that can cause what some are having including power supplies due to the high power requirements of these cards.

I've tested multiple games, even saw the boost at 2050mhz at tiles due to my overclock and hasn't crashed yet.

My sister who has the second rtx 3080 hasn't crashed yet either.

Seems the gays with TUF also having crashes to desktop. Bitch ass.
Let’s play potluck.

Saw only a couple of examples on nowinstock.net chat. Can't link chat as people are posting at speed of 1000 posts per 60 minutes.

At this point it could be anything, like people running on 600W PSUs or something.
Didn't seem like it but whatever. We have examples that contradict the current findings on these forums already. Like the Gigabyte cards that SirBaron has.
